    Cool workaround! Can you please add these options - open in background tab and open tab next to current?

    Sure thing. Check the latest version 0.94b4. Shift+click opens in background, Ctrl+click in adjacent tab. These can be set as the default behavior in Options

    I was about to start tinkering around with some shell scripts to achieve this, but you thought one step further :-)

    Happy to help. I'd been using Ben Basson's Context Search 0.6.4 Add-On forever and was losing my mind when FF 57 came out. This solution is a tad hacky, but it's working so far for the engines I use.
