~ I have also found repeated instances of my quick select languages not working or even being reset to the default of none. (I think what happens is whenever I try to change a copyfish setting, it resets all previously altered settings back to the default).
~ When the quick select buttons ARE there, it doesn't allow me to switch between them while it is translating, and so with the removal of the translation feature, it just keeps trying to translate forever. (It seems that I can switch languages while it's still doing the OCR, but when it starts "translating", the buttons all go grey).
These are obvious and newly introduced problems that I feel negatively impact my experience with this add on.
Edit: Unfortunately, uninstalling and re-installing copyfish did not fix any of the issues I have been experiencing, though I understand and sympathize with your provided rational about why you removed the translate feature.

Developer response
posted 6 years ago"Always translate issue" => Please reinstall Copyfish. That should fix this issue. If not, please contact us at team @ ocr.space.
The translation feature had to be moved to the PRO+ plan, because the translation API provider raised the prices dramatically - so we can no longer afford to offer it for free.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12851851, 4 months agoThis is a great extension. AFAIK the best OCR browser extension. One star less, because of two things:
1. It says it's open-source software (GPL), but nowhere on their site (or prefs) there is a link to the source. I can open the XPI file in my Firefox folder, but it's a good behaviour in the open-source universe to link it somewhere.
2. No dark-mode support. Maybe this has to do with the fact that it hasn't been updated since 2021. With dark-mode I mean the icon on the toolbar (should be lighter for dark-mode) and of course the pop-up window.
That said, thanks for this add-on. - Rated 5 out of 5by Mexico84810, 4 months ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by rado84, a year agoIDK what useful does anyone see in this extension! It keeps failing everywhere - on FB, on YT, on image hosts where you store your memes... It's always unhappy with the image size.

- Rated 5 out of 5by FFme, 2 years agoI'm using it to copy text from Amazon Kindle books. The line breaks aren't great, but that's too be expected. Works great otherwise. Thanks for the great work.
