- Rated 3 out of 5by Marc Lyons, 5 days agoYears ago, either this one or one similar worked so well to define any word I clicked or double-clicked.... it worked so well then and it was dependable. Was 5* dependable from what I remember.
This week, I found it strange that I was unable to see many options for a similar browser add-on and a couple days ago went ahead and grabbed this one. I've probably used it before and don't recall why it wasn't (until a couple days ago) in my extensions list.
Anyway, quick to the point, it worked for about 24 hours and now doesn't show any definitions in popup at all. I'd love for it to be consistent and to be dependable but currently not even the simplest words are defined.
I get the popup window but it shows, "Sorry
No definition found."
Hope in time there's a fix because it's an important tool for me and if I could count on it, I'd gladly buy those cups of coffee.
Best of luck and thank you for your work. Looking forward to using the Dictionary Anywhere extension again but for now I'll have to disable and search for something else. - Rated 3 out of 5by Eelv, 7 months ago
- Rated 3 out of 5by arko, 8 months agoIt functions as intended, but it is missing the definitions of so many 'higher-level' English words that it's almost useless for me. For example, no definition found for a word like "serendipitous" - what's the point if this extension can't define the higher-level vocabulary that I actually need defined?

- Rated 3 out of 5by mmese, 8 months ago90% of the time this extension finds no definition for the words unfortunately
- Rated 3 out of 5by Borneo, 8 months agoThis extension just doesn’t know a lot of words. Words like superlative, a word common enough for me to recognise it but obviously obscure enough to not know already. It's a dictionary and it literally doesn't even know like 30% of the words I try looking up.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Celtice, a year agoIt works great on some websites but inexplicably doesn't work on others, even though the extension says it "Can always read and change data on this website"

- Rated 3 out of 5by nose_gnome, 2 years agoIt's alright. Wished it had English (UK) instead of just US

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14108734, 3 years agoNeed an option to DISABLE on certain URLS! Driving me nuts trying to edit text and double clicking text makes this pop up instead of edit the text box.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 16863826, 3 years agoCan be perfect but aint :) LeftDoubleMClick - is OK - but ...maybe RightButtonDMC will be better, or any choice? LDMC collides with ...many! And what with links?
- Rated 3 out of 5by Chris, 3 years agoI keep downloading this ext because I love the prospect and I keep running in to the same issue once I have it downloaded where no matter what I do the definition bubble that pops up will not close at all. No matter what I do. Then I delete the ext, a few months go by, I go to the ext shop to look for useful things, download it, and start the whole process over again.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Thomas Leon Highbaugh, 3 years agoAwesome the one out of five times it works, but even having nailed all the about:config variables, it still sometimes is useless and no definition even appears.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Gemini62167, 4 years agoI really want to love this extension. It's graphically pleasing, simple to use, very uncomplicated... but it's surprising just how many words I seek that it cannot provide a definition for. For that reason, after a year or two of using it, I have to find another with a more complete dictionary.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Riquez, 4 years agoLooks nice but unfortunately it's US Americanized English only.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Legion, 5 years ago"my language"... for English it's English (US) only. Not good enough.
