Installation

You can download and install the extension directly from the Firefox Add-ons store
🧪 Developer Installation (Temporary)
If you're developing or testing the extension locally:
- Clone or download this repository.
- Open Firefox and go to
about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox
. - Click “Load Temporary Add-on…”.
- Select the
manifest.json
file in the project folder.
Note: Temporary add-ons will be removed when you close Firefox. Use the store version for permanent installation.

: Required to execute scripts in the current tab.tabs
: Needed to open new tabs for Google search results.storage
: To save custom keyboard shortcut preferences.
Usage
- Select any text on a webpage.
- Press your keyboard shortcut (default is
Ctrl + Shift + I
orCommand + Shift + I
on macOS). - A new tab will open with a Google search for the selected text.
