- Rated 5 out of 5by North Star, a year agoThe Open Library c/o *IA* appeals to me for its huge repository of out-of-print books. PDF-searches for most of them on the Web are futile. Time and again, though, I've seen some kind soul had uploaded the title to IA, saving what might otherwise go to the book boneyard.
Another humanitarian of books is the dev of this ext., without whom there'd be no way for IA users to archive their own copies. In doing so they ensure the viability of the texts. I'm impressed as hell. - Rated 5 out of 5by Danny S., a year ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by N777, 2 years agoOn Firefox 115.6.0esr (64-bit), all permissions enabled, download fails in every option available (1 hour, 14 days..). An error message comes up saying to contact the developer.

- Rated 5 out of 5by 4EverMaAT, 2 years agoworks perfectly after installing, enable all permissions, refresh the page, rent the book, and then press new download button (or ctrl + download) that appears next to favorites/share buttons. The file size can get quite large for big books (730 page book was 420MB). So maybe you can use a pdf or jpeg shrinker afterwards

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15037318, 2 years agoFor it to work, you have to remember to allow the optional permissions in the extension page to be granted; otherwise, it does not work.
- Rated 4 out of 5by berrrry, 2 years agoExtension works after giving full permissions, but I'm struggling to utilize this extension since even a small book ends up being almost a half a gigabyte. Every page is over 20000x20000 resolution and I can't convert anything without it taking over a day.

posted 2 years agoTry use "Quality" button to choose a lower quality level and download again. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17897099, 2 years agoIt works ! You really have to allow EVERYTHING in the permissions panel.
(Sorry to the developper, in the end, I have absolutely no issue, I must have been doing something wrong before !)Developer response

After clicking the Download button, regardless of quality picked, I get an error message which states: "randomlygeneratedname.pdf could not be saved, because it was not possible to read/access the source file." - Rated 1 out of 5by Fredisland, 2 years ago
