by Firefox user 12790937, 3 years agoUPDATE I am giving this three stars because I have great hope it but believe it is too expensive for the FireFox spirit. I did have a problem when a logon page appears where I already have an account and FireFox Relay would not let me enter my actual email address to log in. I tried settings in FireFox add-on list and looked online for a support page with a solution; then I had to download an authenticator app on my phone to even make this comment which sparked a developer response that solved my problem! The solution, though, removes the helpful icon from every page where I might want to use it to create the temporary screen email. While I was looking at the solution (which was at a location not intuitive to me), I found another default setting to change.

posted 3 years agoHi I am very sorry for the issues that the Relay add-on is causing on websites you use. You can actually disable the Relay icon in email fields by clicking the Relay add-on icon in your toolbar, clicking the gear icon, then turning off "Show relay icon in email fields on websites"

- Rated 5 out of 5by Lilith D. Bracken, 2 months agoFirefox Relay is a really useful tool for protecting your email and privacy. It lets you create email aliases that forward to your real inbox, so you can sign up for websites without sharing your personal address. It helps reduce spam and keeps your real email safer from hackers. Simple to use, works automatically, and makes managing online accounts much more secure.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13690719, 3 months agoI've been using Mozilla and DuckDuckGo privacy services for years, and subscribing when that is available. Mozilla and DDG are both doing a great job protecting our privacy and our inboxes. A fan of both, I have to say that Mozilla have nailed this one - it is so simple, so transparent and so well-integrated into online workflows. I've seen the complaints of others - domain denied, no amazon login, ... - and can report that at least today these are no longer issues. Great job, Mozilla!!

- Rated 2 out of 5by majesticmini, 4 months agoI so favor how you mask users' email addresses, but when will you let us remove the command icon beside filling in any email address? The tab key is much easier when your command icon is not aligned with it. Please provide the option for a better rating.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Mark Phire, 4 months agoIt's something good to be able to block your e-mail address, but some websites give an error message that says "this domain is not allowed". But also others can use it for spam and block their e-mail address as well.
