by TasbasKo, 3 months agoI’m very happy to have discovered your extension (I found it because I was looking for a recently updated solution—most others haven’t been updated in over two years). I really like it, and so far it seems to be working perfectly. I’d be glad to help with the French translation if you’re interested, but I’m not sure how to contact you.

posted 3 months agoHi, thank you for using SleepyTabs. I'm glad you like it! I havent exactly setup any localization. But this would be a good reason to get it going. It's my first official browser extension. So my profile is still new. I believe my email and personal website is listed there which has some contact info. Otherwise best way would most likely be on discord: spicy.katsu. Feel free to contact me any time and I'll get back to you when I'm available.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 19418543, 22 days agoIt seems that Firefox really doesn't like us doing this to it. Most recent update breaks the sleeping tabs again, so they cannot be awoken or recovered if the browser is force-restarted by Ffx updates. That had been fixed previously, but seems to be back. Otherwise, good tool.

posted 21 days agoThanks for the review! Happy to hear these issues are resolved. If you notice any more problems feel free to let me know.
Edit: Lmk how v1.3.5 handles. Should be much better.
Edit 2: Just got the firefox update now. All my tabs survived, except 1. Using Wake All Tabs restored the 1 tab that was having issues. Seems this update was focused on tab unloading and new tab sections. - Rated 5 out of 5by Griotte, 23 days agoTHANK YOU FOR YOUR HARD WORK, this extension is perfect, works well, not too heavy and actively developed !!!
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19416073, 24 days agoHello developer.
After updated to v1.2.5, the tabs usually change position when it's waking, then I return to v1.2.3, runs well.
Today I update to v1.2.9, this issue still occurs.
Hope you can fix this issue, thanks.Developer response
posted 23 days agoHey, thanks for the report and review! Ive just changed this and will update today. This is intentional when waking a tab from a Sleeping Group, but was not meant to be used on regular tabs. - Rated 4 out of 5by Anonymousey, 2 months agoThis is useful extension for managing several, several tabs that can often use up a lot of processing power on even a Macbook Pro. I think the only challenge I've had with it is that the sleeping tab sometimes cannot recover what page it was on, so I get a "close tab" error that hampers my workflow. I've observed this when Firefox updates, but also sometimes seemingly at random, and possibly when the browser is reopened in general. Sometimes I can navigate backwards in the browser to get mostly back to where I was, but sometimes not. I use tabs to section off different parts of my work that occur at different times of the day, so they are almost never closed. I need them to help me remember a task I have to perform, but also to have everything at-hand if I have to interrupt my flow to jump to that tab group when not focusing on it. It would be ideal if the sleep mode was able to handle for this case more smoothly. Otherwise, it does exactly what's described. Thank you for making this extension.

posted 2 months agoHi, thanks for using SleepyTabs! These issues should have been resolved in the recent updates from yesterday. If youre still noticing any problems on v1.1.5 feel free to open an issue on gitlab or reply on here with details. The new update might need a couple browser restarts to fully kick in. As its handling tabs slightly different now. - Rated 5 out of 5by simper66, 2 months agoExcelent. Works as expected. Good interface. In addition, you can add to the sidebar and enable settings sync.
My wishlist:
- Sleep pages before/after loading them
.
- Max allowed active tab.
- Max pages loading in parallel.
- Try having activated X/Y tabs at the LEFT/RIGHT of current one.Developer response
posted 2 months agoHey! Thanks for the review and using SleepyTabs. Would you mind elaborating a bit on these ideas? Ive already started on Max allowed active tab. If testing goes well it'll be in the next update. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17644079, 2 months agoEasy to use and It works, what else would you need?
