Haven't tried the extension much. I mostly wanted to be able to adjust the playback speed with keyboard shortcuts.
FINDING SETTINGS. I found it tricky to find the settings/options for the extension. They can be found by clicking the navigation bar icon. If the icon is not visible in the navigation bar, click the extension icon (puzzle piece), and then the name of the extension (not the settings gear next to the name).
My initial review was just asking for instructions on how to find the settings, which has been requested several times before and still remained unanswered. The developer seems to take everything as a personal attack and interpreting low ratings as malicious, and rather than giving straight answers goes on rants and insult the reviewers.

posted 2 years agoEDIT: hi again Sir, we still didn't insult you at all. Most of all browser extensions are just used this way, with nav-bar icons most of the time. After installation the appear at the "puzzle piece", then people "pin" them. Browser changed this a few times in over the years. It is is no bad, if you aren't an expert of these particular facts, but as said this extension is made for the common and easy way only. In about 10.000 user messages i read this maybe 5 times, so it is highly unlikely to appear 3 times in a row in 2023. BTW. i even I took the time for to figure out enabling your preferred other way to call the options, which is available since 5 days now. If you don't care for the extension and didnt find an issue, you shouldn't even rate 4 stars. It is below our average of 4.52.
Thanks

Still unsure whats the joke. Why would you feel so strong here? It is very unlikely / paradox if you wait for this extension like christmas gifts and already know the features are good, yet already want to attack the giver / volunteers. You might not want to hurt enduring volunteers or be perceived as spam. One more time: You can review the answer. It is informative. Most of all extensions have a navbar-browser-icon. Searching for options in the browser's full extension list is a bit old /outdated way and if you open it like that, it is far from what we meant (, which is switching on features while you are on YouTube to see the effect immediately).
Thanks

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18744393, 21 hours agoI installed it mainly because I wanted it to hide the videos I have already watched. It can't do that, even though there are a few settings for it.
Other than that, It pretty much breaks YouTube. Most features don't work and the site becomes incredibly slow and unresponsive. Playback stops randomly and I often can't even refresh the page. It tries to do too much and manages to fail at every feature. - Rated 5 out of 5by Vin, 2 days ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by Hrodvitnir, 15 days agoI'm a big fan of this, but I did come here to mention/ask about the hiding the shorts reels/forcing normal player not working - but I see someone said it's on mobile specifically. I have zero understanding of coding or how to use github except following specific instructions, so wouldn't have a clue how I could add the mobile URL if that other person didn't.

posted 14 days agohi :) (then consider to not down-vote hat you like? :D) a point of open source is one volunteer (or one commercial company) wont be enough / best for millions of users and 1000s of use-cases. You guys can really copy paste the mobile URL from the browser bar. (Or even search for the desktop URL in the code, to add it there as synonym (=Code contribution) And at doubt just ask, chatgpt and or on github, and so on. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 19438257, 15 days ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by stapuft, 23 days agoWorks allright, but on mobile, you have tonswitch to "desktop mode" to make some features work, like automatically redirecting from the shitty "shorts" page to the actual YouTube page for the video.

posted 19 days agoHi! Please add the mobile URL in our github repo if you will. This is made for www.youtube since 2012 (and www.youtube changes alone required a lot of volunteering). The descriptions sais "... (+preparing mobile m.youtube)". (Please give fair feedback. We could flag it as "Misplaced bug report or support request", but prefer to keep information visible.) - Rated 5 out of 5by Lakyn, a month ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by MetalGear89, a month agoFantastic add one. Youtube is awful to use on desktop without it.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 19465923, a month agoThemes and some settings are ok. I just do not like that whenever I switch from a tab to youtube and vice versa, there is a short amount of time where the page reloads. I have no idea why it keeps doing this. It also has issues wherein despite not enabling the "Force videos to start from the beginning", it still forces videos to start from the beginning. It's annoying and worth the uninstall. Hopefully they fix such issues by then

- Rated 3 out of 5by ueeu, a month agoVery good QQL feature add, however it is extremely performance intensive, do NOT use the build in theme feature 100% will slow down site responsiveness.
Also it would be nice to add a action menu because the YouTube ui keep changing so I can stop seeing buggy UI
Edit: CPU usage wise I think so, but it seems to also interfere with page loading, most of the time for me it's a blank pageDeveloper response
posted 19 days agoYou mean full replacement UI?
There currently is a CPU hungry bug only for the moment while you are changing our settings and only in Firefox. - Rated 5 out of 5by Vangxim, a month ago
