TST Focus Preceding Tab On Close
This add-on requires Tree Style Tab. It changes Tree Style Tab's behavior by focusing the preceding child tab after closing the current one.

Middle Click To Go Back
Default actions stay as usual. You can still "open the link in new tab" or "close tab" with middle-click. But now middle-click on an empty space on page to go back. In options, you can set middle-click to close the tab if no page to go back.
