Thanks for reaching out to us! After some research we found that after the update users saw "always use private browsing mode" enabled in FF. Disabling this allows ABP to run as normal. To do this, click the settings menu icon in the right corner of the browser > settings >privacy & security > scroll down to the history section > choose "Use custom settings for history" from the drop down menu > uncheck "always use private browsing mode". ABP Support Team - Rated 1 out of 5by rayceiver, 3 years agov.3.1.3 does not work with Firefox, and it is not an issue with the settings in Firefox under privacy settings as the develepor suggests, it was not even on for me. Getting tons of Youtube and Twitter ads shown lately, it fixed the problem when I downgraded from 3.1.3 to version 3.1.2 for adblock plus and deactivate automated updates. Guys please fix your software for Firefox.

If your block is not working, install the latest stable version 3.12 from here and temporarily disable the auto-update of this plugin.

ABP Support Team - Rated 1 out of 5by Nosmo King, 3 years agoI used to use this, and it served me well. Not only did it block ads, it let me choose annoying elements, like the spaces where ads were, to block entirely.
Sadly, since I let Firefox install the 100.0 iteration, Adblock Plus does basically NOTHING. Well, OK, it lets me install it, but does nothing afterward. Since there's no "Contact us" for ABP, I can't even tell 'em their addon is broken.
So, maybe they'll eventually realize the problem, and if they fix it, I'll revise this review. For now, however, it gets one star. I'd give it NO stars if I could.Developer response

Was great for the 2 or so years that I had it, until my browser was hijacked. Removed Adblock Plus and the hijacker disappeared. There's definitely some shady business going on with this add-on.

hmmm. That sounds quite odd. I assure you , we are not in the hijacking business at all. In fact we are on the exact opposite side of that business. We would be happy to investigate further, there are also a few copy cats out there. Either way, if you wish to isolate further we would be happy to assist. ABP Support Team - Rated 1 out of 5by MonicaG1981, 3 years agoIt doesn't work on Dailymotion and Pandora. The ads on Dailymotion are getting ridiculous. I can't watch the video very well because the ads have video and it's so loud and I can't hear the video I was watching. Please update the add-on so the ads will no longer interfere.

There seems to be some misunderstandings about our Acceptable Ads Initiative. Users are still in control, and can disable “allow acceptable ads” in options. If you still experience ads with this option disabled, please be advised that these are more than likely NOT Acceptable Ads. In these cases please send us the URL along with a screenshot of your subscribed filter lists to support@adblockplus.org. We are usually able to get these reported to the filter list team and resolved. Rest assured no company can pay us to have their ads shown. Publishers have to meet the criteria set by the Acceptable Ads Committee before being considered. Most companies actually pay us nothing at all.
