Reviews for Bitwarden Password Manager
Bitwarden Password Manager by Bitwarden Inc.

by Dave, 8 years agoAverage at best due to having no Autofill feature, a must have for password managers, especially when the site has a popup for login, meaning you can no longer click on the Bitwarden icon, Router login does the same - add this important feature for more **
There is no Autofill at all, by Autofill I mean the login credentials are already filled in the login fields ready to press Login button when you visit the site
My example with my router goes like this, with Lastpass my credentials are already entered and ready to press login when I visit 192.168.x.x, with bitwarden the fields are empty with absolutely no way to fill them using bitwarden, if I click on the FF toolbar icon I get an error sound because I cannot click behind the login prompt that has popped up without closing the login prompt first
With normal websites I still have to click the bitwarden icon and choose the login I want to be filled, that is not auto, that is manual, Autofill = the password manager fills the login fields on its own without any interaction from the user

I gave it a few months to see if it was just familiarity and nope - it's very slow and requires extra clicks for what was previously top-level functionality. The service is great, the app is fine, this extension has gotten pretty bad unfortunately. Doesn't even remember my username for more than one login after checking the "remember" box.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Burghy, 7 hours agoWith the new update, everything is slower. Even if I just opened it, when I go back to the plugin, it has to reload again. The copy button, which was supposed to be quick, now requires me to choose what to copy. But most importantly, the support for Microsoft Hello when requesting a fingerprint at browser startup goes into the background, forcing me to move the mouse to the taskbar and finally place my finger on the reader.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18881377, a day agoWas perfect until they recently updated it and redesigned the extension. Now it fails to save logins frequently unless I open a separate window. It is also a lot slower than it use to be.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18881047, a day agothe add on refuses to stay open while windows hello biometric unlock occurs which breaks the unlock. I have to open it in the add on side panel to force it to stay open while focus changes to the biometric authentication. no other browser on windows, mac, or linux has this issue with the bitwarden add on. it is only firefox and only on windows. please fix this issue

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18880176, 2 days agoDestroys browser performance. What happened? I genuinely disable it when I'm not actively needing it. What a let down. Used it for years. Looking for an alternative now.

Mais pourquoi est-ce si compliqué d'aller chercher un id et un mot de passe.
Clic droit > Bitwarden >saisi automatique de l'identifiant > identifiant !!
Pourquoi pas clic droit > identifiant ??? - Rated 5 out of 5by Bashiru Mansaray, 2 days ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by speed, 5 days agoIve never written reviews. But bitwarden has become bad and frustrating. Crazy.
The thing is, I have a protonmail subscription. I was just testing out proton-pass, i rarely used my sub because I just used it for mail. But _wow_. Proton-pass is so good! I will use that for now, the impression is awesome.
Sad bitwarden turned out like this. Im actually a paying customer. - Rated 3 out of 5by VJ99, 5 days agoGotten slow and buggy ever since they redid the UI. I'll take the old, working version back.

- Rated 2 out of 5by AJLobo, 6 days agoI rarely write reviews, but I think this is warranted. The clean, minimal interface that we used to have is gone in favor of a more clunky, busy UI. This is a regression. It even takes over a second to load all the elements on the popout. Also, why would you hide the autofill function under a secondary menu when this is the entire reason we use this extension?!
Lastly, now it gives you suggestions for logins which take priority over your favorited logins. What's next, AI integration to better inform us on how to use a password vault? - Rated 5 out of 5by sayimburak, 7 days ago
