by Alinivar, 5 years agoWorks fine, almost all sites load perfectly with the correct settings granted you don't go in like a noob and go nuts with all settings and don't read the documentation.
One issue though is YouTube, extension updated to 0.20.0.7 today and YouTube ended up loading without polymer, basically it literally loads as if it was YouTube during 2012 or something with no dark mode and less features.
Edit: Thanks for doing that! That was pretty fast, I can finally use it again.

I'm sorry that you had to go through all that. In the previous versions of Chameleon, disabling Polymer would only kick in when using a non-Firefox profile. The problem with this method is that if you're using one of the random profile options, this would cause issues when using Youtube. The site would break and toggling Polymer wouldn't fix it until you changed your profile to Firefox to restart the process. I've removed the Polymer handling code so this should be resolved in the next update that will be released later today.

Right now, the biggest problem with this add-on is that it tends to not always work well on some websites, so I haven't used it as much as I would've liked. For example, it causes problems on YouTube, and sites protected by Cloudflare always put me into this annoying endless captcha loop if I'm using a custom profile. - Rated 5 out of 5by Thomas, 2 months agoWaouh the best extension ever made ! Most sites still immediately know I'm using Firefox when I have this set up to spoof Chrome. Only sites that check solely the User Agent string think I'm on Chrome; any other "detection method" returns Firefox for me. :(

- Rated 5 out of 5by nothairy, 5 months agoIt's pretty great, does what it says it does, tested it with am i unique, and it helped quite a bit. Only issue is that when you change your screen size through the extension, some websites may or may not break. but that's just normal, i suppose.

- Rated 2 out of 5by What???, a year agoOnly two stars because websites can still detect your true OS which can defeat the purpose if you are spoofing to a Linux browser. Otherwise, it's GUI is nice.
