Cloudflare Email Routing Alias Generator
A Firefox extension that generates a Cloudflare Email Routing alias for the site you're currently visiting and copies it to your clipboard in one click.
Setup
1. Create a Cloudflare API token
Go to dash.cloudflare.com/profile/api-tokens and create a token with these four permissions:
| Scope | Permission | Level |
|---|---|---|
| Zone | Zone Settings | Read |
| Zone | Zone | Read |
| Zone | Email Routing Rules | Edit |
| Account | Email Routing Addresses | Read |
2. Configure the extension
Open the add-on's Options page (right-click the toolbar icon → Manage Extension → Preferences, or click "Open options" in the popup), paste your API token, and click Save.
Usage
- Navigate to any website you want to sign up on.
- Click the extension icon in the toolbar.
- The alias field is pre-filled with a random alias for the current site — edit it if you'd like a custom one.
- Choose which verified address the alias should forward to.
- Select the alias domain from the dropdown.
- Click Generate & Copy.
The routing rule is created in Cloudflare, and the full alias is copied to your clipboard, ready to paste into the sign-up form. Use the Manage aliases → link in the popup to open the Cloudflare dashboard for the selected domain.
Alias format
Aliases follow the pattern
{site}-{word}{digits}@{your-domain} — for example, visiting github.com might produce github-apple1234@example.com. The site name makes aliases easy to identify; the random suffix makes them unique.Requirements
- Firefox 120+ (desktop or Android)
- A Cloudflare zone with Email Routing enabled
- At least one verified destination address in Cloudflare Email Routing
