- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 11719462, 6 years agoОтличное приложение!

It's so much better than anything else, that it's the main reason I'm using Firefox.
Yes. It's that good. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14327188, 7 years agoReally excellent! I use this all the time. It does not reduce site functionality.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14322220, 7 years agoseriously underrated addon. if you dont type exactly "dark background light text" is almost impossible to find. ive tried others but this one is the best for everyday use and offers enough options. must have for anybody with sensitive eyes.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Killerwhale7, 7 years agoPros: simple, well arranged, has options, no lags, doesn't use much cpu/memory.
Not enough color options, would be great if you'll add more, like the url (right now it's light green). It sticks out in google search results.
As with any other extension, it doesn't work well on all sites. For example, in https://www.oddsshark.com/ufc/odds logos are blacked out.
Almost everyone uses Chrome, so you'll have 10 times more users of your extension because there's still no adequate one for Chrome.
If you'll make this extension for Chrome, please put a link here or send it to kroatov@gmail.com

posted 7 years agoWhich color options do you miss?
There is no Chrome version. The code is almost ready, it's possible to build Chrome version from source code with minor changes but due to lack of time and interest (from me) it may take some time until port will be ready.
You can subscribe to this issue https://github.com/m-khvoinitsky/dark-background-light-text-extension/issues/99 to be notified about Chrome port progress.
UPD: if you mean url color in google search results, it's not URL, I mean, it's not html "a" tag, it's just text which has originally green color. Extension just makes it lighter to make it readable on dark background. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14217618, 7 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by ForeFix, 7 years agoAfter a lot of tests of other similar extensions, I find this one particularly well done, that's why i'm leaving this review. I love that it handles clicked links (different color once visited), contrarily to most of the other similar addons. I only found one doing this, and it's not open source, with less options. Here, you can choose several methods of darkening, and apply them to different part of the same website or domain (if the global setting breaks only some pages), by URL segments (domain, website, page, subpages, etc). I've not found this depth of settings in other addons. The customization of colors for different elements is easy and when some could say it's not as "fancy" as other addons, the interface is very clear and intuitive. And I also like that it is open source.
Developer, really well done. Your extension is the closest to perfection for what it does, imo.
Could you check if there is a way to darken the menu of firefox (left-click one, and when opening a folder of favorites in the favorites bar)? I'm afraid it's a limitation in Firefox Quantum, if you can't do anything about it, i totally understand. You have my 5 stars anyway :)
Edit: thanks for the reply and advice! I already have the dark themes enabled, I'll have to wait until Mozilla expand it to these areas of their browser.
Edit 2: oh, high contrast. Brutal, but indeed it works. Thank you for the tip! ;)Developer response

It's not possible to do this from an add-on. But I recommend you to 1) set Firefox theme to "Dark", 2) select dark theme in your OS (Windows: left Shift + left Alt + Print Screen, Linux: pick your favorite dark GTK 3 theme, for example, Adwaita Dark, macOS: you have to wait for Mojave).
UPD: the rest is rendered by your OS. So, see above.
