- Rated 2 out of 5by Rana Doe, 7 months agoExtremely poor compared to chrome version. Will overwrite splash screens, not handle div borders (leading to white bars everywhere), works poorly with most websites. Better than nothing, but not saying much.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18514967, 8 months agoIt looks great on most websites and really helped with my eyestrain and I haven't had any issues with exessive CPU usage. HOWEVER it does break several website to the point of getting "Access denied" errors that were only resolved once I removed this extension. I will gladly return once this is fixed
- Rated 2 out of 5by Glauber, 8 months agoÉ muito bom, mas quebra funcionalidades! Os arquivos e planilhas do GMail, dentro dos e-mail, não abriam ou demoravam MUITO para abrir a janela de baixar quando o Dark Reader estava ligado. Então removi a extensão e parou o problema.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Gunner, 10 months agoIt does what it says it does, however, it increases page load times by an unacceptable amount. Pages load instantly with the extension disabled. With it on, load times are anywhere from 3 to 5 seconds. That doesn't sound like a lot until you're sitting through it on every page load. And those 3 to 5 seconds add up after just a few minutes of browsing. Honestly this extension shouldn't even have to exist. There's no reason Firefox doesn't have a native dark mode like literally every other browser does. I thought this would be the fix, but it comes up a little short for me.
- Rated 2 out of 5by grizzler, a year agoUsed to be five stars, but Dark Reader is slowing Firefox down far too much these days... :(

- Rated 2 out of 5by Freeroamer696, a year agoUnfortunately this ext has been unusable of late(2/25/24). Firefox (on more than 1 occasion) suggested I disable it to improve performance. Slows down site loading, freezes and missing items are a constant now. If it returns to it's previous functionality I would happily reinstall as it was great, but until then, it has to go for my browser to remain functional. Hope a fix is incoming....

- Rated 2 out of 5by Leo, a year agoVery useful but its really affecting Firefox's performance with its resource demands!
This is the second time I installed and uninstalled it because I noticed how much it kept slowing down Firefox! - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 15258288, a year agoworked great in edge but in firefox it always flickers and messes up ui in many pages like facebook messenger
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18268214, a year agoAlmost doubles Firefox's CPU usage. It was causing stuttering on a stream I was watching. Awful performance, isn't worth what it does.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 14492264, a year agoFunctionality is good, but it freezes or really slow down the Firefox. On mobile it's unusable, on desktop it ruins the performance. Even on sites with disabled filter.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Nocturne, a year agoI still remember how great it was when it could actually auto-detect site theme without relying on OS theme...
And there are STILL bug when if you switch auto -> on -> auto that it'll discard saved options and will default to "OS theme" even tho it's not even checked - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 15848924, a year agollevaba usando esta extensión años.
- Rated 2 out of 5by danger89, a year agoI like the addon very much, but the webpages are slowed down by a factor 2 or 3! So no thanks.. It's just too slow.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13646205, a year agoEvery time there is a firefox update I have to remove dark reader and install it all over again on my several firefox installs. Very annoying.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 15222006, a year agoNot great. Just inverting colors which makes images appear inverted as well. Was hoping this was a true dark mode.
- Rated 2 out of 5by me, a year agowas great. now breaking lots of pages- wikipedia, and links open in new tabs.
linux based firefox 120 64bit
why don't all websites offer dark mode? - Rated 2 out of 5by Hassan TR, a year ago
- Rated 2 out of 5by ChefExperte, a year agoWhile it works on some pages, it breaks many pages for no reason. Some buttons cannot be clicked anymore, some text blocks disappear, ui elements get moved around and other problems. On the most recent Firefox version some tabs just constantly crash. Nice idea for a plugin, but it does not work...
