by Firefox Account, 6 years agoThe best image-saver app that I have found for EITHER FF or Chrome browsers. It finds all the images from the sites I use, and saves the full-res versions. The preview window that opens is PERFECT, since it displays a custom-sizeable thumbnail, image size, dimensions, etc. You can filter out all of the junk or decide if you want to save an image without navigating to the tab it's open on.
The best part is the developer mentally understands the workflow a lot of us use to save images, i.e.,
- Have a gallery open on Tab 1
- browse the gallery and start mouse-wheel clicking on candidate images to open them in their own tabs
- open the Image Picka and confirm everything you want to download
- click DOWNLOAD
- close tabs to the right and keep going!
Most image savers don't seem to understand this, for example many assume that you want to save every image in the whole gallery, which is crazy. Or, like so many other add ons, they just don't work :(
Thanks for a great free add on that actually WORKS!

The new update just got this error !!
" Installation aborted because the add-on appears to be corrupt. "
Please fix itDeveloper response
posted 18 days agoThe extension uses a new setting in 0.22, but it is buggy in old Firefox.
The bug prevents the extension from install on Firefox < 128:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1996829
Currently the bug is fixed at Firefox ESR 115.31 (which should be released around Dec 9), but I think 116~127 will still face the bug.
If you need a version without the new setting, feel free to comment in this thread:
https://github.com/eight04/image-picka/issues/380 - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 19557507, a month agoIt definitely works on Android, however it is very annoying to use as it only downloads it on .tar format even if you only want one, there is no way other than do the "batch" method which makes it annoying if you want to download from several tabs as you cannot mark them to download from those and have do it individually. Making it almost worthless depending on how you want to use it

posted a month agoThat's true. The tab chooser on Android doesn't work with extensions. We either have to implement our own tab chooser or perhaps pick all images from all available tabs by default.

I personally found Image Picka extremely useful, so I'm hoping it will be fixed in 0.22.Developer response
posted a month agoI've got a lot of reports that single download is broken in 0.21 and I'm fixing it in 0.22.
If batch download is also broken, it will be really helpful to report more details to Github: https://github.com/eight04/image-picka/issues - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14971508, a month agofunktioniert leider nicht mehr seit einer weile, wenn ich auf den button klicke neben dem bild wird es nicht mehr gespeichert, war früher wirklich top, da hat alles bestens geklappt
