- Rated 1 out of 5by Tired, a month ago"appropriating language" says the community who stole and rebranded multiple intersex terms. Intersex individuals are not the ones appropriating
- Rated 5 out of 5by Whip-o-will, a month agoFantastic and reliable. Been using it for years and I've never accounted a mislabelled red name.
The dropping ratings are because some people are very upset that it flags transphobic (particularly transmisogynistic) transgender people as transphobic. If you are a huge fan of men's rights activism and using the phrase "AFAB trans woman" I suppose you won't like this add-on very much.
I do think there's an actual problem with this add-on, and that's its friendly flagging. I constantly see green highlights on the accounts of random trans people who don't even talk about being trans that much, and more importantly on outwardly transphobic or otherwise bigoted (e.g. racist, antisemitic) accounts. I think the friendly flagging system needs review and better filtering. I've come to completely disregard it.
Despite that, the unfriendly flagging is consistent and incredibly thorough. I need to reiterate that in all my years of using this add-on I've never encountered an unfriendly misflag. - Rated 5 out of 5by Pepi, a month ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by oMorri, a month agoThis extension has had an unfortunate downward spiral not only in its effectiveness and reliability, as it seems people that speak out about it's exclusionist decisions about intersex, transmasc, and non binary people are marked red, but also the developers or moderators or whoever takes care of this have decided that certain words are transphobic when they're only a way for some to describe their experiences, and some that are objectively hateful aren't transphobic enough to warrent a mark. Not to mention that they may have even manually marked some people as red as a way to silence them to prevent talking about their experiences with shinigami eyes. This was useful, it could be useful again if these issues are dealt with, but as it stands I cannot in good faith recommend this to others or continue to use it myself while run in this way.
- Rated 2 out of 5by EinsteinFrizz, a month agoThis started off as a great concept but has essentially become useless due to the attitudes of the dev(s?) reflecting an incredibly closed-minded view of what transness is. Do not trust this extension's markings in the slightest - it used to be a good indicator (taken with a grain of salt of course) but is now no better than throwing a dart blindfolded. If someone makes a fork that fixes these issues (perhaps something like ublock has where you can add other people's lists) I would love to use it as the concept of the community helping each other is very helpful.

- Rated 1 out of 5by spideywebs, a month agoWent out of my way to defend this extension when it seemed like people might have been misunderstanding how it works & using that as reason to conclude the developer was using it as a weapon in intracommunity discourse... only to find out that they're literally in the reviews hashing out that exact same discourse in real time.
Whatever. I can look past some cringy behavior as long as it isn't crossing over into the actual functionality of this tool.
So question for the developer: are you actually taking any use of "AFAB trans women", regardless of context, as reason for flagging someone as anti-trans? Are you taking someone's dislike for the term "theyfab" as reason for marking them anti-trans? Where is the line, exactly; not for you personally, but in the moderation of the extension? - Rated 2 out of 5by doc, a month agoPretty neat, would be better if the people behind it weren't intersexist and transmisandrist. Two stars because it's marginally better than nothing right now, fix this and yourselves doofs.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16139126, a month agostarted finding more and more trans people marked as red, discovered it was not because of terf attacks, but because the people behind the extension are intersexist and transphobic themselves. oh, and look, they're in the reviews arguing with people! fantastic. don't waste your time with this extension. it's garbage.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Zentilde, a month agoA once pretty great add-on that is now useless for it's main purpose, seeing that red "transphobic" label is being erroneously (or perhaps even purposely by the devs) attached to intersex people, people advocating for intersex rights, trans-mascs, and even some of the trans advocates this add-on claims to help platform.
Unless there's a massive change in ownership (assuming this concept is even worth humoring) you'd be better off just reading up on potential dog-whistles and looking into the accounts yourself, as apposed to letting this biased add-on tell you who it thinks is worth listening too. - Rated 1 out of 5by ZoeOfShark, a month agoThis addon used to be my go-to recommendation for trans people online. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case.
The moderators of the extension are not very well educated on trans issues. Any advocacy for intersex trans people, trans men, etc risks getting you flagged. Trans activists should not be marked red for advocating for their identity.
We need intersectionality more than ever, but this addon is trying to break us apart. Whether this is incompetence by the moderators or intentional division is unclear.
Edit: The developer response proves my point more succinctly than I could. Intersex people advocating for their rights is not "appropriating language". Please google intersectionality.Developer response
posted a month agoAppropriating trans women's language in a way that harms trans women is not okay.
Intersectionality? The community is already divided by transmisogyny. - Rated 1 out of 5by floatingcat, a month agoNot only is this extension being used to target intersex and some trans activists, but the developer has been making incredibly intersexist responses to reviews. Policing the labels that intersex people use to describe themselves is completely unacceptable and absolutely shameful from someone claiming to want to create a safer online space for all trans people. Using a label for yourself that fits your experience does not "force" anyone to label themself a certain way, as the developer says. The developer has also likened intersex activists to TERFs because of labels they are using FOR THEMSELVES to describe their personal experience. I am uninstalling this add-on and will be advising friends to do the same. I only hope the developer reads this and decides to educate themself on intersex issues and how their actions have harmed an already oppressed community.
- Rated 1 out of 5by arowace, a month agoUsed to be decent. But while the developers claim to support intersex people they are ignorant and bigoted and have not educated themselves.
I read the developers responses to some recent poor reviews and wanted to respond. the existence of afab transfems does not force any trans person to use their agab. Using amab or afab is a personal choice. No one is owned someone's assigned gender. It literally feels like a lame excuse to mark intersex queers as anti trans. - Rated 1 out of 5by Rat, a month agoPeople who have not been marked red before are being marked red when they post about intersex and transmasc issues. The responses to other comments aren't actually explaining whats happening proving the creator doesn't actually care about it.
- Rated 1 out of 5by KiwiPop, a month agoExtension is prone to misuse and has started marking trans friendly users and transphobic which makes this extension basically useless to its purpose.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Waowyuriomgyaoi, a month agoIncredibly transphobic extension, does not work as described.
- Rated 1 out of 5by MentalMiddenHeap, a month agoWas never one to take SE at face value without looking into someone myself but its clear at this point the extension can not be trusted. Its blatantly being misused and the people running it are actively harmful to the community they claim to protect. Several openly transphobic and intersexist positions have been championed by them and I can no longer support this app in any capacity, as a trans woman.
