- Rated 5 out of 5by Robert Dupras, 5 years agoThank you for that extension. In that world where so much great idea, exprssions, personnal search and share are done by humans, we are in same time so fragile. As like to save info on gardening, I use your extension. Internet iis a book for free mind peoples who share there work. I love the fact I could save the page, but also edit it, keep the web reference to come back to the site and delete easily delete useless part, it is fast easy and clear... Your extension goes more far then what I thought to find. But exactly as I need, nothing useless... BRAVO! It is an extension for peoples who want usefull working tools for research an making our world better. As you could loose Internet that kind of tool could be very usefull in our fragile world. i.e. where I am living, Internet had some issue since a week... (Covid19 show how every thing could colapse very fast). Sorry for my low level writing skill in english.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Cormchij, 5 years agoTried a lot of extensions. Your best. But it cuts the length of the file name by 140 characters. This is inconvenient. Can I remove this restriction?

posted 5 years agoThank you. You can update the hidden option "filenameMaxLength" for that. See https://github.com/gildas-lormeau/SingleFile/wiki/Hidden-options for more info about how to change hidden options. Feel free to contact me if you need help. - Rated 5 out of 5by dinor studio, 5 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by JFffox, 5 years agoI used to love the MAFF file format old add-on. I've been missing it till now. Your add-on works pretty well for me. The extra feature for editing (like highlighting) is way too cool. Thanks a lot!
My only question is, how much is this one better than SingleFileZ? I'm curious about that, I mean, why should I use SingleFile instead of SingleFileZ?
EDIT March/11/2020:
The Developer response to my question was pretty clear. Now I understand the differences very well. Thanks a lot for your answer and awesome work!Developer response
posted 5 years agoThank you for the review. I would say that the main advantage of SingleFile over SingleFileZ is that pages saved with SingleFile do not require JavaScript to be enabled in order to be displayed. In other words, if you want to save your pages as "pure" HTML files, use SingleFile. If you prefer to save them as zip files disguised as HTML pages, use SingleFileZ.
Note that SingleFile allows you to edit the page with the editor you refer to (I'm glad you like it). SingleFileZ cannot do this because it is more complicated to implement.
EDIT: Thank you! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13870051, 5 years ago
