- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12469650, 5 hours agoI using Toggle Referrer since long time.
But new, since a few days, is the behavior that embeded YouTube Videos on websites will not work any longer until the Referrer is off.
Maybe you have an idea for some piece of code to put into those embeded Youtube Iframes, that they still will run while User have Tools like Toggle Referrer on. - Rated 5 out of 5by mmmel4real, a year ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by gabrielpf3, 2 years agoWorks as intended, but please add some sort of whitelist feature. I use this extension for literally a single website, and it's extremely annoying to have to always disable it when I'm doing anything other than accessing that one website otherwise a lot of stuff breaks.
Developer response
posted 2 years agoSorry, but the primary goal of this extension is to disable the referrer primarily (which is also why there is a setting in the Add-on preferences to auto-disable on browser restart and why I create the spoofing list to even NOT use the referrer on sites that insist on it).
Maybe you find another Add-on which fits your usecase better. - Rated 5 out of 5by RaulMacro, 2 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Karpan Koroviziniek, 3 years agoSimple but functional, does exactly what it says, can't ask for more really. I wish the author would do an equivalent "on/off button" add-on for the dom.storage setting, especially as more and more sites annoyingly use local storage but I refuse to have it turned on permanently for obvious privacy reasons.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16664845, 4 years agoIf I am using the spoofer, who is listed as the referrer? Can I alter who the referrer is listed as. For example, can i make it look like I linked from Bing? Also, if I do not use the spoofer, will it appear as though I went to the website directly, or will it indicate that I blocked the website from receiving the referrer information?
Developer response
posted 4 years agoThe "spoofer" is *only* for known problematic websites. The rules are visible here:
https://github.com/M-Reimer/togglereferrer/blob/master/spoofing.js#L34
If you come across some website which does not work with Referrer disabled, then you may open an Issue here:
https://github.com/M-Reimer/togglereferrer/issues
describing which website this is.
The goal of the "spoofer" is not to spoof random Referrer values but to make websites work well even without a valid referrer. The idea is to spoof just as much referrer as needed to make the website happy. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14608175, 5 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13525375, 6 years agoWorks great. If you could add the swisscows.ch search engine to the spoof list that would be great. If not, no worries. Cheers!

posted 5 years agoThe latest version allows to use Twitter even with Referrer disabled if you use the spoofing feature. - Rated 5 out of 5by Anton, 6 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Cybo1927, 7 years ago
