posted 8 years agoUnfortunately the possible ways of interacting with the browser's user interface on Firefox for Android are currently alot more restricted than on desktop Firefox (the fact that I can add an icon to the browser's address bar is already a hack in itself!). As such I had decided to halt all further Firefox for Android development until this is being addressed.
As of Firefox for Android 55 this is finally the case and the first set of improvements (no configurable list yet, unfortunately) has landed in the recently reviewed 1.0.5 version of the extension.
If there are user-agents that you would like to see in the next release in particular (somebody already requested iPad), then please add that to your comment and I'll probably add them. The user-expandable list should be released in not-too-long as well.
Cheers!

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14946084, 6 days agoAlthough this extension doesn't solve my issue completely (hating how Facebook looks and works), I am able to easily convince FB that my laptop is a mobile device which makes it more tolerable.

- Rated 5 out of 5by WhoAboutYT, a month agoI love it, I use the user-agent switcher because sites like Roblox believe firefox is "suspicious" and will serve you 10 Captchas if you are on Firefox
- Rated 1 out of 5by Yeko, 2 months agoDoes not work at all. Sites still see my browser's original version string.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Thomas, 2 months agoL'idée est bonne mais le gros défaut est que les captchas ne passent pas car le ua dans les iframes n'est pas modifié. Dommage.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17569951, 3 months agoEdit: No longer works anymore. Sites that block Firefox users are blocking them again even with this extension set to tell the site I'm on Chrome. :(
Needed to use a site that was silently refusing to let Firefox users log in. Used this extension to tell the site I'm on Chrome. I can log in now. 10/10 Would recommend if you find a site that hates Firefox, this works to bypass it - Rated 5 out of 5by Kim, 3 months agoThe only user agent switcher I've found that reliably works. Allows you to apply custom user agent to a specific domain. UI is simple and easy to understand.

- Rated 5 out of 5by KLJY, 4 months agoThe best user agent switcher. Buffering on Youtube magically gone. Compared to using FF by default that YT will buffer every 10 seconds.
