by Firefox user 14171754, 7 years agoWorks fine in my Linux box. Failed trying to convert old Scrapbook data in Windows (in fairness, that data may be corrupted).
Does not work in Windows, starts to save, then produces two error messages in window to small too contain them, and windows closes before I can enlarge or even read part of it. I think problem may be that I am using a default download directory of F:\DL, although that is where the .zip file was saved when I tried to convert legacy Scrapbook.

posted 7 years agoIf you were not running the site indexer to import the data from legacy ScrapBook please follow the instruction at: https://github.com/danny0838/webscrapbook/wiki/Import. If you followed it and it still doesn't work, please raise an issue in the source repo with more details so that we could investigate further.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Alanyyab, 2 months agoVery useful. 2 Feature suggestions: Dark mode UI support for the sidebar. And an easier way to highlight text, possibly similar to Raindrop extension where after highlighting text a popup right above the text shows up with color options.

- Rated 1 out of 5by ehobby, 6 months agoUnable to get this to work on Firefox 133 and Fedora 40. Installed the backend and the browser extension. Could not find any configuration for the backend that would work. There needs to be a more specific set of instructions written by someone who has successfully installed this extension in Linux, unless this only works in Windows. Perhaps this is a great extension but it is worthless if it cannot be installed.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18235051, a year agoI needed to backup a website that used form login, making a simple scraping not possible. This extension worked like a charm after figuring out some of the configuration options.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13058149, 3 years agoI choose the WebScrapBook/data option but it wants me to configure Backend server... ? ? ?
Useless.
I miss the old Scrapbook Extension.Developer response
posted 3 years agoPlease consult the documentation about different approaches to capture a page: https://github.com/danny0838/webscrapbook/wiki/Basic. Raise an issue with more details (e.g. a screenshot illustrating where you are asked for backend server configuration) in the source repository if you still don't get it. - Rated 5 out of 5by Alexander, 3 years ago
