just recently installed this alongside fire fox to test ad blocking capability since youtube has initiated war against fair use content blockers preventing our pc's from being infected. just tried youtube and it DOES WORK, though it will give you on some ads a black loading screen, in other words it does play the add but you get no audio or video playback so in a way it skips and mutes any ads. works better as a tempory alternative compared to ublock origin. and this version does not get blocked on youtube. so ignore tenchcoatcraig's comment, it works just slightly different.

Top contender so far for the battle with you tube adds.

Works great outside of YouTube, which now doesn't work at all unless this is adblocker is deactivated.

since the last update every time i open firefox a donations tab opens up. i don't mind this occasionally but every time i open firefox is too much

It worked great for years! However it stopped working for Youtube and TwitchTV. For this reason it is best to try another blocker until they fix it.

Worked flawlessly but no longer works on Youtube. Hopefully the dev will fix it soon.

Youtube now detects this adblocker and prompts people via a window before the video starts to not use adblockers.

youtube has now stopped this adblocker and tries to to force you to pay for youtube premium

some sites are not happy with ad blocking apps, and they become unreliable. So I drop them from list of goto sites. always cautious.

i find i have to disable this quite often, it prevents me from interacting with some web sites. just an inconvenience.
