Automatic Spelling Language by Jacob Hjort Bundgaard

by Inbal Cohen, 5 years agoHallelujah, praise the Lord! I've been waiting for this OBVIOUS feature since day 1 of using Firefox about 15 years ago.
The main downside is identification of the entire text field, rather than individual sentences. Consequently, it's not possible to spell-check more than one language in each text field, even when separated to distinct paragraphs.

- Rated 1 out of 5by kazerniel, 3 years agoDoesn't work at all. I wanted to use it to automatically switch between English and Hungarian, but it even messes up sites that have already been manually set. (Tried on Reddit and Facebook.)
- Rated 2 out of 5by obee, 3 years agoI dont understand why this addon fails to autocorrect words as you type. Whats the point to it?
- Rated 5 out of 5by Ein Benutzer, 3 years agoOh my god this works so damn well! I have been so annoyed by constantly having to manually switch between spell-check languages for so long, but never found this add-on before.
Thanks so much for this great Add-On Jacob! :-) - Rated 3 out of 5by Benyamin Limanto, 3 years agoAlways fallback to English when typing in Indonesia in Old reddit text area.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Zazz, 4 years agoI can't get this to work. I have played with if for a half an hour but it doesn't do anything. Same on all pages i have tried. I REALLY want it to do so....
EDIT: I got my self a new computer and installed FF on it, and all old add-ons came with it. And now this work... One have to write a few words before it switches, but good enough. Thanks. Now it gets 5 stars
EDIT-2: This Add-one only works sometime, and very often NOT... SO im back giving it 3 stars only
EDIT-3: It almost NEVER work now.... Ill give it 2 stars now as it almost useless... How can it work worse over time???
EDIT-4 It stopped working and i tried to uninstall and install it again to no avail. So i give it 1 star now - Rated 5 out of 5by Wellyngton, 4 years ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 14634708, 5 years agoCan't seem to make it work on Firefox 71.0. Restarted several times and played around manually with the dictionaries no success to get the automation on. What I get wrong?

posted 5 years agoDoes it work for any sites for you? If it's not working for specific sites, try to follow the instructions under the Content Preferences section of the add-on description. - Rated 5 out of 5by Alexey Murz Korepov, 5 years ago

For a moment I thought you are using some third party remote web service or at least external JavaScript library :) - Rated 5 out of 5by Daniel Naber, 6 years ago
