Avast Password Manager - Privacy Transparency Statement

Password Manager manages usernames, passwords, credit cards, user notes and other information useful for performing online activities. The information is stored in an encrypted storage.

While using Password Manager, we process the following Service and Device Data.

Service data (purpose, retention period):

Usernames, names, address, phone number, email address, date of birth, passwords, credit card information, bank account details, notes, URLs connected with passwords stored by user (encrypted). We use this data to ensure the functionality of the service. (Service Provision - until the account is active)Events and product usage (app metadata, usage of features (such as data leak checks, number of accounts stored, error logs). We use this data to encrypt data synchronization (Service Provision - 24 months) and for understanding product usage to further develop and improve the product performance as well as telemetry and development of new features or products. (Product and Business Improvement - 39 months)
Information about user interaction with web pages. We use this data to improve quality of login and password change forms recognition (Service Provision - 60 days raw data)

Device data (purpose, retention period):

Random extension and internal identifiers. We use this data for users’ support and troubleshooting (Service provision – 24 months) and improvement of the product and development of new features or products (Product and business improvement - 39 months)

Information concerning computer or device (Operating System Version, Location data, (city/country), Avast Antivirus / Avast Passwords application Version, Browser Version, Extension Version). We use this data for users’ support and troubleshooting (Service provision - 24 months) and improvement of the product and development of new features or products (Product and business improvement - 39 months)

Config name / Config AB test ID. We use this data to propagate various configurations based on different configuration sets entry values (Service provision - 24 months)

We make use of Mixpanel Product Analytics to track feature usage information in order to maintain and improve this add-on.
