- Rated 2 out of 5by SK, 2 years agoOnce used it, but doesn't function any longer in more recent Firefox versions (e.g. Mozilla Firefox 113.0.1 - on Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS), whilst eid does work in e.g. Google Chrome. So, middle ware, driver etc okay. When you leave this add-on activated randomly in recent Firefox versions, it causes an annoying popup each time you open the browser. Would have given it more stars before, but not any longer, alas (and alas there don't seem to be any alternatives available). That said, I understand programming sth like this is not easy as the Belgian eid concept in itself is quite a mess. At least, a challenge.. -- P.S.: doesn't work either when I shut off WebRTC (enable), ABP (disable), 'cookie monsters' (disable) and what not ,P.

posted 2 years agoHave you seen https://eid.belgium.be/en/faq/why-it-not-possible-use-eid-software-snap-andor-flatpak#7636 ? Unfortunately, due to a change in the way Firefox is shipped on Ubuntu, the eID no longer works with the default browser there. You have to install a browser outside of snap in order to make it work. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16433334, 2 years ago

posted 2 years agoIf there is a "Remove" button, that means the add-on is already installed. It may however be disabled. Please press ctrl+shift+a to go to the add-ons settings in Firefox, and check that the add-on is enabled there. If it is, then everything should just work? - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16140531, 2 years ago
