- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13500001, 7 years agoIt blocked some sites but the process to block a site is ridiculous. Sorry. I want to support the developers but I found using this plugin really cumbersome.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13824329, 7 years agoIt blocks sites only on the first window, if I open a new window or go to private mode it does not work.

- Rated 2 out of 5by ro0ter, 7 years agoYou really have to be spot-on with the website... if for instance you want to block the nosy "profitshare.ro", simply adding that name won`t work since they use subdomains... now the`re at letter "l" (Lima)... so you`ll have to exactly add "l.profitshare.ro"... wildcards don`t work........
- Rated 2 out of 5by marc-marc, 7 years agoThe time period feature does not work and the user interface is not intuitive. I switched to LeechBlock NG. It does a much better job.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13762151, 7 years agoI'd love to see the time window's fixed. Works when no time window is chosen.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13756495, 7 years agoThe new version didn´t work for me. It seems like a bug, because I can´t make a list like the image, I put the website and it disappear, just that. So, don´t block the websites. And, I don´t know if this work to private mode, I think yes, but here didn´t work. I have already used old versions of this extension and I liked.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13756146, 7 years agoDoesn't work how you expect it. It blocks the site, so that's 2 Stars instead of 1, but the Time Management doesn't work at all and there is unforseen behaviour I cannot even begin to describe. Things along the line of: When the List becomes to long, the Clock for setting your timeschedule (which does not work) is outside of the screen and you can't scroll down.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13753697, 7 years agoThe Active DAy & Time dosent work; not with time, nor day of the week. I just run all the time.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13680932, 7 years agoDoes not work as well as some have said, I put a site in that keeps popping up, and 2 minutes later the same site popped up again, it did not stop the site at all. would be better if you could just add words in the site to stop them popping up also, not whole site addresses.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Daddylo, 7 years agoSo long as I do not close Firefox the app works fine. However, if the computer is rebooted or the browser is closed then the blocked sites are not repeat not recalled at all and must be reapplied to the BlockSite app. I would have directed this to the app developer but did not find his contact info.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13586615, 7 years ago
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13660555, 7 years agoLooks very simple to use
Then close the browser.
Go away then come back and open browser
All the settings are gone
What's the point of that?
Renders this add-on useless
I'm sure it used to be better than this - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13619266, 7 years agoSome functions like the setting of time periods are buggy and do not work for every configured site.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13459473, 7 years agoNot 100 % effective. Besides, the "Thank you for using BlockSite" tab that pops up every time I start Firefox is a real nuisance.

posted 7 years agoHi,
Thanks for your review!
Please note that due to the strict deadline of Firefox, urging extensions to move to the new WebExtension standard, we had to release a new version as soon as possible.
We are aware of the fact that this update has caused some bugs and irregularities. We would like to assure you that every review and user feedback is being checked thoroughly to understand what matters to our users and what needs to be fixed.
It’s important to note that we are working on fixing these issues as we speak but not only that - we are also planning on making Blocksite better than ever before with significant improvements.
We apologize for this inconvenience. Your patience and understanding are much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Blocksite Support - Rated 2 out of 5by Paul Dodd, 7 years agoI'd forgotten I'd installed this, which is exactly how I expect this kind of add-on to work. You certainly can't forget about it now so I'm going to remove it instead.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13429263, 7 years agoBefore the update I was satisfield with that extension.
After the update, it shows up the "thank you" page every start and I cannot turn it off.
The interface was also changed and it seems, you have to use a different syntax to successfully add pages to be blocked by BlockSite.
I will search for a different tool, if it continues to open the extra page every start of Firefox.
Edit: To successfully add a site to block, you have to use 'www.pagename.ending'. just 'pagename.ending' will not work.Developer response
