- Rated 5 out of 5by eggyolk, 4 years agoVery nice add-on - thanks a lot! There's only one thing that "disturbs" me: After having clicked 'Bookmark Tab(s) Here' the bookmark menues are closed immediately. Hence, there is no direct visual control of the result of the bookmarking. I would appreciate it very much if the bookmark menues remained open after adding the bookmark, so that I can directly see the position of the bookmark, change its position if necessary, and change its properties with an additional right-click if necessary. UPDATE: Just noticed that reviewer "VV" had the same "request".

Any chance we would see the option (or default) of the new bookmark being placed above the existing bookmark on which the user right-clicks on ? (as opposed to the current default of being placed below the item being right clicked on) ?
(added on 11.2.20)
I think I've found a bug : this great add-on, adds a bookmark not at the very top of a drop-down bookmark menu but as a second entry, right after the existing top-bookmark which remains in place as the top bookmark. I think this is a bug because I cannot think of any reason why it would deliberately be so.
Any chances of fixing this ?

Congrats, great add-on; but I need a favor: can you make it so that after placing the bookmark it does not close the bookmarks menus, so that the new bookmark becomes instantly visible in its new place - for verification and corrections purposes ?
As it is now, the bookmarks pop-up menus disappear immediately after placing a bookmark.
Even better, it would be great if upon clicking the "Bookmark Tab Here" option in the drop down menu, a window with the bookmark's properties would come up, so as to be able to immediately modify, for example, the title of the bookmark, as I usually do modify them in order to maintain my own naming conventions. As it is now, I have to drop down the bookmarks menu a second time after I use "Bookmark Tab Here"m in order to access the properties of the bookmark I just only created.
To Developer: thanks for the tip, I tried it and both the control click and the more permanent change in the options work great. It is really helpful !

posted 4 years agoRe mentioned 'bug': If the Option is set for Top of Menu and you insert it via context menu of the *Bookmark Folder*, it inserts it at the very top. If you insert via context menu of an individual menu item, it inserts just below that menu item. Reversing that to above if Option is set to Bottom of Menu seems unexpected/confusing, but I suppose a separate Option could possibly be added if that would be helpful.
Unfortunately with the current Firefox addons API, it is not possible to prevent the menu from closing. Some properties cannot be changed via the API, however, you can change the title: Ctrl-click the 'Bookmark Tab(s) Here' entry or change the add-on's Option to Always Show the Editor Window. - Rated 5 out of 5by Fred, 4 years agoFinally a way to add the latest bookmarks on top rather than at the end! - Rated 5 out of 5by Robert Phair, 5 years agoI've been waiting for a replacement for "Add Bookmark Here" for a very long time & very happy to have found one today. I do miss being able to use that extension entirely from the keyboard, since it also created (optionally) an "Add Bookmark Here" item on the bookmarks menu itself, allowing it to be selected entirely with the arrow keys... while it's only possible to use "Bookmark Tab Here" with the keyboard alone if one uses the "Menu" key on the keyboard to pop up the context menu. (P.S. EDIT: the response is absolutely true, and I believe the Firefox developers need to loosen up the API when it comes to bookmark data: too many things taken away in the name of security.)

Like somebody wrote before if possible for the extension not to bookmark if it the same bookmark already exist it will be amazing.Developer response
posted 5 years agoIt should be obvious by the bookmarks star in the location bar, as to whether there is already an existing bookmark. Therefore it is unclear what exactly is being requested and why. What criteria are you expecting to be checked to determine if it's the same bookmark? Identical url in same folder? Something else? - Rated 5 out of 5by Aqd, 5 years ago

"Bookmark ALL tabs here"
& "Bookmark ALL tabs to the RIGHT here" (optionally: all to the LEFT, too)
Thanks in advanced!Developer response
posted 5 years agoYou mean all tabs in all windows? (There's already an option to bookmark all tabs in current window.)
On current versions of Firefox you can use multi-select to select all tabs to right or left (via shift-click) then use BTH to bookmark the entire selection of tabs. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13635560, 5 years agoVery useful!
But I'd like it to have the option to ignore a bookmark if it is already in the selected folder.
Currenty it adds as much copies of the same page (if you repeatedly use the option), creating unnecessary duplicates. It has happened to me because sometimes there is a small delay for the bookmark to appear, so I though it wasn't still saved and saved it again, 3 times.Developer response
posted 5 years agoUnless you're hiding the location bar or deliberately creating duplicates, the appearance of the bookmarks star should plainly indicate whether the current webpage has been bookmarked. - Rated 5 out of 5by Unvir, 5 years agoCould you add the posibility of searching for a location? For example: single click on the icon, and add a text-box for the under to input the location. For example: downloads/media, and your addon will search for the combination folders "downloads" and "media".
This is very useful fore people with lots of bookmarks/structure.Developer response
posted 5 years agoThat's an interesting idea for a Firefox feature (perhaps https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=526219), but seems outside the scope of BTH. As an alternative, you might try a Bookmark Search extension such as Bookmark search plus 2, which would allow you to do a search and then drag/drop the bookmark in. - Rated 5 out of 5by zbijus, 5 years ago
