by Arnold_Rac, 5 years agoI love your plugin but Your latest Version 0.20.3.1 has a few bugs,
1. it stops sites to work properly, I have to disable it to make them work and then I re enable your plugin, It doesn't let Dailymotion video to play when its embeded in site.
2. It usually do not pick up timezone whereas previous version did.
and this new version doesn't let me delete the email in tutanota mail earlier I used to (again I disable plugin to delet mail and then reenable it)
and there are few other things... so on...
3. You imposed a few features rather giving choice like Cookie (Policy). There is no way to disable it, once has to select Allow visit bare minimum whereas the fact is I already use Firefox privacy feature to handle cookie functionality.
May I know why you will fix them?
Regards

Please create an issue here so that I can ensure that the issues you're facing can be resolved. https://github.com/sereneblue/chameleon/issues
Depending on the settings you enable, Chameleon will break things. I can try to resolve some issues but I need to know more information (like your settings).
1. This may be caused by a number of settings.
2. Can you list the URLs timezone spoofing is not working for you? I'd need to know your settings to help fix the issue with tutanota.
3. Chameleon allows you to conveniently manage some Firefox preferences like the cookie options. It preserves your existing settings so this should not cause issues. There was a bug in v0.20.0 for the cookie options that caused the settings to be reset, but that has been fixed.

Right now, the biggest problem with this add-on is that it tends to not always work well on some websites, so I haven't used it as much as I would've liked. For example, it causes problems on YouTube, and sites protected by Cloudflare always put me into this annoying endless captcha loop if I'm using a custom profile. - Rated 5 out of 5by Thomas, 8 days agoWaouh the best extension ever made ! I try many many UA extensions... I use it to change UA only for some web sites in the white list. Run very well on Android Firefox. Many thanks sereneblue !

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 17569951, a month agoUI is nice, but it doesn't really seem to spoof very well... Most sites still immediately know I'm using Firefox when I have this set up to spoof Chrome. Only sites that check solely the User Agent string think I'm on Chrome; any other "detection method" returns Firefox for me. :(

- Rated 5 out of 5by nothairy, 3 months agoIt's pretty great, does what it says it does, tested it with am i unique, and it helped quite a bit. Only issue is that when you change your screen size through the extension, some websites may or may not break. but that's just normal, i suppose.

- Rated 2 out of 5by What???, 9 months agoOnly two stars because websites can still detect your true OS which can defeat the purpose if you are spoofing to a Linux browser. Otherwise, it's GUI is nice.
- Rated 5 out of 5by jcfyre, a year agoWorks excellently on Android. Many more settings than other user agent spoofer add-ons.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Tetranymous, a year agoI use this as a user-agent switcher (manually select a single chrome version, turn off and on as needed) since all the other user-agent switchers I tried didn't work for me. Chameleon works flawlessly! :)
