CRX Source Viewer lets you look inside any browser extension — Chrome, Firefox, or Edge — in one click. Open the extension's page, click "View Source," and every file inside the package is right there, formatted and searchable.

What makes it different

Most viewers just unzip the archive and leave you staring at minified code. This one automatically beautifies minified JavaScript, CSS, and HTML on open, so you can actually read what an extension does.

The Analysis tab reads the manifest and explains, in plain English, what each permission actually lets the extension do — with risk levels for permissions like "debugger", "cookies", and host access like <all_urls>.
