- Rated 2 out of 5by That Other Guy, 4 years agoDoesn't work on all sites. One website had a youtube video embedded and it auto-played behind the red frame. Also doesn't play nice with youtube.
- Rated 5 out of 5by art, 4 years agodoing exactly what I wanted. Stopping the annoying videos auto playing on WaPo and The New Yorker. That's all I've tested it on so far.

Successfully disabled autoplaying videos on web sites where others failed. - Rated 2 out of 5by Michael, 4 years agoJust giving a pink border on the video window doesn't mean its blocking it. The auto load or autoplay video already loads few seconds on the page. The pink border is annoying. This should have blocked all flash and autoplay auto load videos like image blocker blocks images. It does not work ; the video auto loads.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 15005746, 4 years agoCan it stop preloading?
It stops the stream/video yes but there's a 'pic' of what the stream/video is. - Rated 4 out of 5by fox4ever, 4 years agoEDIT: Can you add a configuration to toggle off the click to play and play icon? It obstructs the view on small thumbnails and videos.
As opposed to other similar addons, yours actually show a "preview" image. Which I love. It also solved Firefox abnormal high CPU usage issues I'm having on some sites. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because there is no toggle button on the toolbar. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13912040, 4 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Wildrat, 4 years agotried to use on Tubi, it breaks Tubi. It puts a red block around the video, says click to play and does nothing. I suspect this option is being used in the config file: media.autoplay.blocking_policy (2) which prevents Tubi from functioning.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 11741070, 4 years agoThis really works - always stops the video running - Great.
Two whinges
1/ - The red box usually doesn't line up with the video so it can get in the way of other interaction with the page - I'd probably try to fix it if I knew a bit more, but I'd need some guidance
2/ - I'd now like to be able to disable it on specific websites - Rated 5 out of 5by Zorojuro, 4 years agoGreat tool overall, but could you please add Allow list, as it needed for some sites. Thanks

- Rated 3 out of 5by MisfortuneCookie, 5 years agoA simple, useful extension that seems to work for blocking annoying autoplay videos, but whitelist/blacklisting is a missing, almost essential feature.
- Rated 4 out of 5by JHHL, 5 years agoThis is the third one I've tried, and the first one that will actually block the new autoplay on a YouTube channel home page. It's not perfect (the red frame ends up above the channel home page autoplay video, instead of around it), but at least it works.
(Were these YouTube people born in a barn? What were they thinking? Finding ways to bypass browser settings and force autoplay? Don't they have better things to do? Don't they have the slightest understanding of netiquette?) - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15773514, 5 years ago
- Rated 3 out of 5by Marko, 5 years agoUpdating. In some case doesn't work. For example the embedded video in this website: https://tachyon-five.itch.io/project-starfighter
