Hoping, in the future, this will also work to eliminate "hyperlink auditing" (via the "ping" attribute), which may eventually replace Google's current technique. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14524943, 6 years ago

The extension's purpose is to prevent links in Google pages (Search, Gmail, maps, etc.) from turning into an unreadable, obscured link (see the add-on description for a clear example). The address bar has nothing to do with that. What you may see in the address bar are search suggestions, provided by the search provider that you have selected. If these links have an undesired format, then you need to find another search provider. - Rated 5 out of 5by Voukras, 6 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 10287291, 7 years agoBetter alternative to the Search-Link-Fix addon. Reliably fixes all the search result links and even works with Firefox on Android!
Also great optional feature to have the HTTP referrer cleared when clicking on a search result. - Rated 5 out of 5by RevolverX, 7 years agoOne of my "must have" add-ons right along with Adblock plus and Ghostery.
