by myRattata, 4 years agoIt works just as intended... Although there is an 8kb filesize limit on the emote list. You may want to use a URL shortener to get more emotes in SeemsGood

posted 4 years agoThank you for pointing this out, I may never have noticed. The emote list now uses local storage in v0.3.1, which allows much larger files by default. Emote sets can already be imported and exported, so this shouldn't be a problem for users on multiple browsers.

- Rated 3 out of 5by 0ri, 3 years agoIt works, but it's tedious to modify.
I would much rather see an implementation similar to Emotesly (not available for Firefox) where it uses various platform APIs to replace emotes. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16611333, 4 years agoGreat addition! Works correctly in Twitch chats. But in Mozilla 84.0.2 there is a limit on the number of added emoticons, I have a maximum of 92 emoticons. Also, if I try to import more than 92 emotes, I get the message "Import succeeded", but nothing is actually imported. At the same time, this limitation is absent in Mozilla 78.0.2, and all emotes are added without problems, I managed to add 694. Dear developer, can this limitation be removed for new versions of Mozilla, or at least greatly increased (up to 1000 or more emoticons?)?
UPD. Thanks a lot for solving the problem! At the moment, in the current version of Mozilla 85.0.1, there are no restrictions on adding emoticons (I have added only 724 so far). Import and export also work correctly. Great job! 5 stars!Developer response
posted 4 years agoYes! I've just posted a new version that uses local storage for the emote list. This should allow lists much larger than 8kb in size (the previous limit). Thanks for the feedback; please let me know if the change is insufficient. - Rated 4 out of 5by mw, 4 years agoIt's good, but there are some things I wish were changed. The "See all" section's height is a bit small, I've found that 300 pixels is the sweet spot. Emotes feel really small. Can the normal size cap be set to 32x32 if not already? that would be a great enhancement. Great job nonetheless.

posted 4 years agoHi! I've just updated the extension, and I included some changes based on your review.
In FireFox, opening the file import selector will close the extension's popup, so the emote menu was simply ported to it's own page. It is now fitted better to the screen, and the "See all" section is now taller with 150% image size for better visibility (any bigger means blurrier, because emotes are usually very small).
This was a fast change; I'll be resizing the section's height to fit any screen vertically later. Thank you for the feedback!
