by AndyL964, 7 years agoThank you for making this extension. It works just fine in place of the Google Dictionary extension that I miss so much when I switched over to Firefox.
There are some things that I wish you could improve on, however, such as a fix for when the definition bubble pop-ups stick to one side of the screen (or even show up outside of your device's screen, especially on devices that have smaller screens) as well as a when double clicking on a word in the pop-up bubble that creates a new bubble on the edge of the previous one instead of on top of it.
I also have a feature request that would be awesome if you could include, which is the ability for users to set a hot-key (keyboard combination shortcut) for opening up the dictionary.
But still, even if these don't get added anytime soon, I'd still like to thank you for making this extension!

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 16664541, 4 years agocould be really good. I liked how simple it was, and the UI was clean when it displayed the definition.
however, probably more than half of the words that I actually need to search a definition for, don't show any results on this extension! the majority of the time I end up having to google it, which shows a definition fine. if there was just a wider range of words in this extension, it would be good. until then, I'm going to have to uninstall. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14083957, 4 years agoThis would have been an easy 5-stars if we could only add a key to activate the search function. I mean, we all double-click stuff all the time, but how many times have you meant to check the definition of the text rather than just copy it or something?

- Rated 5 out of 5by Ari, 4 years agoAfter using this extension for more than a year I moved on from it cuz of how it looked in dark mode. But came back to it just after a month ( cuz this one hardly ever shows me "definition not found" ) and was really delighted to find the theming issue solved.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Rain, 4 years agoLets you select what dictionary source it polls, which means it also works through a VPN whose dictionary requests get blocked by google. Extra bonus points for light/dark theme choice!
