by Firefox user 13611267, 7 years agoGreat rss app, thank you very much!
I am however experiencing a few issues with it:
- media autoplay: pages with videos or audio frequently begin playing them as soon as the article is loaded. It would be nice if there were a setting to disable this, or it were disabled by default.
- page redirects: some sites attempt to take you to their website automatically when the article is clicked on. It would be nice if this could be prevented, even if only the headline is shown. I've simply had to remove these feeds from the reader (eg. engadget)
wishlist item...
- feedly integration: it would be very nice if it were possible to get our feeds from a service like feedly, this way it is easy to have the
same feeds across devices.
- duplicate articles: some news sites have many feeds which can contain duplicate articles. it would be nice if there were an option to not show and mark as read duplicate articles (articles with the same title?) (eg. reuters)
Thanks!

Could you please send us URLs to blogs that have autoplay videos (feedbro.reader@gmail.com)? Feedbro does not automatically autoplay anything so it's always the feed markup that causes it. But perhaps there are cases that can be fixed. However, if the video is embedded using an iframe, there isn't much we can do.
Can you also send links to blogs that have those "page redirects". Note that in Feedbro you can expand the article in Feedbro if you click elsewhere in the article area (not the title).

just needs an option to limit/block notifications on startup - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 11647180, 22 days ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by Westerly, 3 months agoI love this add-on, but the lack of a search function is a massive inconvenience. If you have a lot of feeds it becomes next to impossible to find specific ones, or to troubleshoot problems with particular feeds. While you can do a browser 'find' to get feed titles, there's no ability to search for feed URLs, for example.
This becomes a massive problem if a feed becomes compromised or generates errors (as happens often enough to be an issue), because the error message or security software warning will give only the URL of the offending feed, making it next to impossible to actually find the problem feed and remove it (at least, not without going through hundreds of feeds manually one-by-one until you find the problem - something that would easily take hours to do).
It seems like such basic functionality, it's frustrating that I can't search the information that the add-on has gathered - feed name, url, etc.
Another frustrating issue is that it's very difficult to organize feeds when moving to a new device. I used to have all of my feeds arranged neatly in folders based on genre, etc. and when I tried to transfer all that over, it did not export my folder hierarchy, it only exported the feeds themselves. I now face hours of re-sorting them, and the tools for sorting are not great.
Having said all that, I use this add-on avidly and have for years. At its core I believe it's the best add-on of its kind available for Firefox. - Rated 5 out of 5by narancasta, 3 months ago
