- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13078201, 7 years agoNice & simple, I like it.
However, it leaves the r-click menu open after a tab close; that's rather annoying. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13892325, 7 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Fonzie!, 7 years agoAdd a gesture-box for View Page Info and I'll rate 5 stars!
Other than missing one box, it's perfect! - Rated 2 out of 5by Tobz, 7 years agoWorks really well. Only gripe is the amount of permissions it asks for.
You definitely don't need all those mate.
Will 5 star once permissions are reduced to only the necessary ones.Developer response
posted 6 years agoI explained why I needed the permissions in the description. Anyway, now that I moved to optional permissions it not an issue anymore. - Rated 5 out of 5by Jonathan Cardona Rojas, 7 years agoThank you so much for this. FireGestures was essential. It's great to have mouse gestures again.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13780092, 7 years agoVery useful addon to increase your browsing productivity! Very convenient together with Tablet PC pens!
FoxyGestures is an actively developed, feature-rich gestures recognizer that can greatly enhance your browsing productivity. It allows defining custom gestures triggering custom user scripts for advanced browser control/automation, for example to automate the Tree Style Tabs addon. It can also be used very conveniently with a Wacom pen by drawing gestures in the air. (If you have problems with air gestures since Microsoft's pen scrolling in Windows 10 v1709, see https://github.com/marklieberman/foxygestures/issues/217#issuecomment-365014892 for a workaround config.)
@all those who have submitted 1-star feedback complaining about bookmark access permissions:
- Are you aware that technically all addons before Firefox v57 had access to all your bookmarks?
- There are users like me who want to control bookmarks (like adding a new ones) via gestures.
- If you don't trust an addon, feel free not to use it. Or build your trust by checking its open(!) source code at https://github.com/marklieberman/foxygestures for any phone-home code. (I didn't find any.)
- As a general-purpose gestures addon that allows you to write&configure custom user scripts, it would defy this addon's purpose to disallow access to certain parts of your browser.
- If you really want an option to granuarly give/remove permissions to/from FoxyGestures, consider posting an enhancement request on https://github.com/marklieberman/foxygestures/issues and see what the developer thinks about this. Giving 1-star feedback here because of this isn't constructive! - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13771389, 7 years agoRead and edit my bookmarks and browser settings??? Ummmm, how about no? I don't care that it doesn't work with my bookmarks or browser settings page.
Uninstalling. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13109970, 7 years ago5 STARS! LOVE IT!
This is a great replacement for Fire Gestures, which is a legendary XUL addon. Thanks so much for the hard work implementing a great web extension replacement.
One question. Would it be possible to add support for the WebExtension named Temporary Containers, or provide that developer with an API to register events within Foxy Gestures so links can be opened in a Temporary Container with a mouse gesture?
The dev of Temporary Containers stated they would need that support so thier addon could work with Foxy Gestures.
Anyhow, thanks again for this brilliant addon! - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12010472, 7 years agoGreat addon but after last update gestures suddenly stop working on some sites and I can't click anything on that site after reload there is ok but after use some gestures again gestures and the site stop working.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13455720, 7 years agoThis replaces FireGestures for me. Does what it needs to do.
People - this is open source, you can check the code and the linked issues/requests on things like new permissions due to feature requests etc. - Rated 5 out of 5by Grey-Black-White, 7 years agoIt is a great add-on that provides me a good range of mouse gestures that I use everyday. Many people complained about the demise of firegestures, but if it was another time and both add-ons existed simultaneously, I would still prefer this add-on over firegestures because its clean interface and it is lightweight on resources.

- Rated 5 out of 5by MorningAltair, 7 years agoDoes what it needs to do within the limitations of what the new Firefox allows add-ons to do. I also like the full explanation of its working principle on the github readme page. Edit: People are complaining about bookmark permissions, but they're necessary for a gesture command to bookmark a page. See the add-on author's "Why Permissions Are Required" at the github wiki https://github.com/marklieberman/foxygestures/wiki/Why-Permissions-Are-Required
