- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13484316, 7 years agoIt's decent and has all the basic features. But there's a really frustrating thing about using this, every time you click the right mouse button for a gesture, it also brings up a context menu which you have to click out of. Probably not going to be able to tolerate this for more than a week and will uninstall as soon as I find an alternative (assuming that this context menu thing is not FF57 limitation that all mouse gesture addons will face).
- Rated 3 out of 5by funicorn, 7 years agocannot work well in Firefox 57 on linux OS. Context menu pops up while using mouse gesture.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13455515, 7 years agoPros:
+ intuitive setup
Cons:
- less commands than FireGestures (eg. no close window command)
- unlike FireGestures, the gestures don't work untill current tab has partially loaded
- unlike FireGestures, the bloody thing doesn't work on some tabs at all (such as the one I'm writing this at) - Rated 3 out of 5by Jesse9212, 7 years agoEdit- Addon only starts working with tabs created after the extension was enabled. You can't just reload a tab that already existed. Has to be a new tab.
Mouse Click (ie. Hold Right Click + Left Click) still now working.
Reload Command Not working.
Scroll to Top / Scroll to Bottom works.
A good feature to add would be [gesture command] + scroll = page up / page down - Rated 3 out of 5by aptx, 7 years agothe only gesture add-ons work in the firefox have great customize-able gesture, but only work in web pages tab, so new tab, setting tab, add-ons tab will have no gesture at all :(
- Rated 3 out of 5by Miletos, 7 years agoDoesn't work in empty tabs (REALLY annoying!) or FF configuration tabs (settings, addons, etc)

- Rated 3 out of 5by sergeyf, 7 years agoDidn't work with FF 57.0 from start. Blank settings/no gestures. After some magic, I've managed to get into settings and setup gestures. Still display popup menu after gesture. I would like to have predefined gestures set.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13210686, 7 years ago1. The context menu popup that appears when right-clicking after a gesture operation is always inconvenient.
Can I not get the context menu to disappear?
2. I'd like gestures to work in tabs like Firefox "Settings", "Add-ons Manager" and so on. I am uncomfortable because I can not close it with a gesture.
3. The "Close Tab" gesture does not work if only one blank tab is created. I am requesting correction.

- I Used" Windows 10 RS3"
- Add-on "FireGestures" is above "2" supported.Developer response
posted 7 years agoPlease read the addon description. Web extensions cannot work in internal pages so that will never be supported. FireGestures is not a web extension. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 12947434, 7 years agoI need "Search for Selection in New Tab".
please add gesture. - Rated 3 out of 5by CEBMetal, 7 years agoBut it's not working on my first PC (Linux Mint 18.2 64bits) : when I right click, trail is drawn but a menu appears and after, there's no action.
With the same version of FF on Windows 10 on my other, Foxy Gestures works perfectly ...Developer response
posted 7 years agoPlease read the addon description again. The reason is stated at the bottom. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13325296, 7 years agoThere are already many requests for this, but this simply can't be stressed enough - working on "about:*" and new tabs is simply essential, without it the workflow can be very un-smooth. Moreover, please include as many built in commands as possible from Firegestures (view image for example is missing, but very useful), not everyone can write scripts after all.

posted 7 years agoIf you are missing a command, request it on GitHub. Web extensions don't have access to about: and internal pages, and will never be supported unless Mozilla decides to provide access to them. - Rated 3 out of 5by stib , 7 years agoThis surpasses FireGestures in some ways, the configuration page is well thought out, and the user scripts option is great. However the context-menu thing on OSX is a dealbreaker at the moment. The whole point of gestures is ease of use, and that doesn't happen if you have the context menu in your way all the time.
I hope the devs can fix it before firegestures stops working. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 6141590, 7 years agoReally hoping it will be possible to draw gestures on empty tabs or about pages, before ff57 breaks firegestures. Keep up the good work. The configuration menu is very nice. Would like a gesture option for "home" (for some reason gestures aren't working on this particular page either).
Developer response
posted 7 years agoIf you are using developer or nightly, please switch to Foxy Gestures beta channel. The settings page in 1.0.6 broke due to some internal changes in Firefox.
