- Rated 3 out of 5by houndeye1151, 5 months agoFollowed an original developer of FreeTube "PrestonN" through github and he recommends a different extension if you wish for more "official" support. This one did work while I had it installed but I feel safer with the endorsed extension.
- Rated 5 out of 5by PHO, 8 months agoMany people say this addon does nothing but for me it's perfectly working. Maybe the problem has been fixed? I'm on Mac if that matters.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15166984, 2 years agoIt doesn't redirect anything on Windows. I wanted to use FreeTube but it looks like this project is abandonware. Last update 2018 btw.
- Rated 3 out of 5by 4everTron, 2 years agoFor me, with Linux Mint 20.3 and Freetube (flatpak) v. 0.17, this does actually work but not quite as expected. Needs to be refined. Double click is required to open youtube.com links. Other methods of opening youtube.com links open such as "open in new tab" operate as usual and not in freetube.
Consider using the context menu like many other addons; perhaps an option to open in new invidious tab, and fix the double click issue and general unreliability of the addon. - Rated 5 out of 5by gitroW, 3 years agoThis addon is not working. How is it even supposed to work? Using latest firefox realease to current date. Freetube is installed on my machine.
EDIT:
It is fully working now. Do not know where might be the problem, but clicking link in browser shows option to open in FreeTube app. Good work. - Rated 1 out of 5by LOD666, 4 years agoOn Linux Mint with Firefox 86.0, no reaction: YouTube links in Facebook always and only open with YouTube. The FreeTube extension has no use.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13202285, 5 years agoAs people have been saying for a while, links open in the FreeTube app but don't load at all. Thanks to the author for creating the extension, but until this bug is fixed the extension is effectively broken.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Sam Miller, 6 years agoI am grateful for Freetube. However, this extension doesn't not work properly. Many times, it opens Freetube without loading the video.
I suggest providing a means of opening or not-opening particular videos in Freetube (e.g., click on icon in toolbar, provide a link under the video, etc). I look forward to trying this extension out once it has been fixed. - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13522774, 6 years agoI really want to support this project. But, when I try to open a Youtube video via this extension on my Mac, it opens the Mail app :-/
- Rated 4 out of 5by alekksander, 6 years agogreat idea, but doesn't fully work. i imagine it redirects video to the app, AND STOPS further loading and playing in browser. the latter doesn't happen.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14174178, 6 years agoIt opens the Freetube app, but not to the video.
