by Wingpin, 7 years agoThere is an issue with the Extra features: rocker gestures and wheel gestures. Occasionally, the right-click button will be held down in a tab until the right button is pressed again. This is a problem when trying to scroll, because it will browser zoom in/out when scrolling up/down respectively. This is also a problem in a similar addon called FoxyGestures, but was not a problem in the original FireGestures. With the extra features off, then this add-on is flawless for my use but I really liked rocker gestures.
Currently on the latest stable Firefox release.
Edit: This is actually a conflict between Gesturefy and Zoom Page WE (which I use because it seems that there is no default way to set global zoom in Firefox), which has the option to scroll with right-click and zoom wheel turned on by default. Don't know which app is at fault, because separately they implement the right-click function well. I will leave the original review up in case anyone runs into the same problem, since Zoom Page WE is also a popular add-on.
One "life-hack" I found regarding right-click actions such as wheel and rocker gestures is that I can set my own rocker/wheel gestures in AutoHotKey script and use Gesturefy with the same actions to automatically suppress the right-click context menu. This is advantageous because these actions will work within New Tab page, and other pages where gestures are not permitted.
5-star add-on from me; thanks for your help.
