- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13530520, 7 years agoVery good as an alternative to FireGesture. Dear Developers, could you consider adding functions like 1:"[Popup] Search for Selection with..." and 2:"Open URL / Search for Selection" (I'm not sure the actual title of the latter, though. I mean, if the selection is URL then open it, else search for selection with the default search engine) that FireGesture has, or there's some technical limitation which prevents them? Thank you.

posted 7 years ago1. Popup gestures are on the list. For more information see here: https://github.com/Robbendebiene/Gesturefy/issues/99
2. This is possible. The queston is how I will add it (extra action or an option for search action) - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13518170, 7 years agoHi
Is this just for business or ok for home, and what does it actually help with or do, Thanks.Ron - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13526206, 7 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Nicholas Valentine, 7 years agoDefinitely one of the most useful addons. The only downside is that it doesn't work on home/newtab/addons and every other build in web page.
- Rated 5 out of 5by tiger_28, 7 years agoAmazing. I was pretty impressed by GestureFy. I have been using Firegestures for a while before Firefox 57 came and broke eveything. I was using Foxygestures but met a few odd bugs and behaviours when using it. Gave GestureFy a go and was amazed. Good extension and great interface for the customization. Thumbs up
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13518139, 7 years agoworks great!
just one thing, it is not working on system pages, eg. new tab blank page, option page, etc.
I want it to be able to work on these pages so I can swipe to close these tabs
thank you!Developer response
posted 7 years agoThis is a known api limitation. Please read the addon description for more information. However if you change your new tab page to a normal website, for example by using NewTabOverride (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/new-tab-override/?src=search) gestures will work there. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13518035, 7 years agoHi thank you so much for this add-on. So far, it's working fine. I have a feature request. While using the touchpad on my laptop I can execute the gestures by using two fingers and pressing the pad and execute the gesture (two fingers for right click actions) however, i would like that I can combine the CTRL key with one finger to execute the gesture instead...do you think this is possible to include?

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13512259, 7 years ago> The addon does not work on https://addons.mozilla.org, pure svg pages and internal pages like about:newtab, about:addons or other addon option pages.
Is there a reason for that? I can't seem to find an explanation and I don't think any gestures Add-On can do it so far. Mostly talking about the about:newtab, which was definitely possible before.
Seems to be the best gestures AddOn
I definitely like this one more than Foxy. GJ and thanksDeveloper response
posted 7 years agoHey. There is a reason for that. You can also see it at "Take Screenshot" (Mozilla extension). Click the right mouse button on a page and you can take a screenshot. But not here or on about:[x]. It's the same reason why Gesturefy can't do this either. API limitations of webextensions. (But the development of Mozilla's webextensions is still in progress) - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12723859, 7 years agoEIn sehr guter Ersatz für Firegestures, funktioniert prima.

Toolbar navigation pane
Maximize window / Restore window
Is it possible to implement a gesture?
===========================
Thank you for your quick reply. ^^
Your question is wrong.
Sorry.
Maximize window / Restore to previous size
When restoring to previous size after window maximization
Large monitor users are uncomfortable.Developer response
posted 7 years agoHey. First of all, you are welcome ^^
What do you mean with Toolbar navigation pane ?
If you mean the sidebar with the bookmarks or the right menu, then that does not work.
Look here: https://github.com/Robbendebiene/Gesturefy/issues/141
You can already use >Maximize window< (relatively far down in Gestures)
>Restore window< is also possible, If the last tab was a window.
____
Edit: Oh sorry, misunderstood.
It is not possible to go back to previous size. Is only possible to go to the maximum window.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13470463, 7 years agoHello! Earlier asked to add gesture "save picture as", barely a couple of days, as all added. The best application at the moment after the deceased FireGestures. Completely replaces the old app. Very happy and would recommend. Thank you!)

For all the negative reviewers, please read the description carefully, and understand that not all features can be imported into extensions. Stop punishing the developers of new add-ons trying to make things work in FF57 for things out of their control, its counter-productive.
