It's only a link to the hangouts page, which is reloaded EVERY TIME you open the pop-up. Finally it's better to open the actual web page in a tab of the browser, at least you can pass to another tab without the need to reload the page every time.

Nothing loads inside the border... it's just a white page.

All I get is a pretty border. I can't see my contacts, messages, nothing. All I get is a blank white pane.

Shortly after installing and trying out this add-on, someone named "Barbara" showed up in my contact list. I do not know this person. I have never accepted this person. I am not even sure this is a person. In other words, either this add-on has been compromised by malware, or it IS malware. I uninstalled it immediately, and I suggest others not to touch this either.

Pretty functional actually. I don't know what others are complaining about. It can be run in the sidebar, as a separate window or as a pop out from the toolbar. It doesn't even conflict with Messenger for Google extension as far as I can tell. All the expected functions are there and work just as expected (video, text, and voice) all work just as they do in Google's own interfaces. I have to wonder if the one star reviews just don't know how to operate Hangouts.
