Does what it is expected to do. Next, I'll be looking for an addon to permanently change the Google-News layout to a new widescreen-friendly layout/design :)

It definitely works! When I installed this, the sports and entertainment sections on Google News vanished, and nothing else seemed to be impacted.

The only downside is that I know this is a moving target. If this add-on ever ceases to be maintained, it will stop working when Google makes a change (which is frequent).

It would also be nice if there were options available for this add-on... say a checkbox for each (Entertainment and Sports) since some users might want to leave the Entertainment section alone.

Nice work though, this is the only extension of its kind that I could find, so we're lucky to have it!
