posted 6 years agoLol, duplicated quotes will get trimmed automatically, it should be: "Technically'" "it" "does" "what" "is" "says" "it" "does" "," "but" "in" "a" "rather" "distracting" "and" "annoying" "way". Also you can highlight the text and right-click to choose "Google with single double quotes" to make it "Technically' it does what is says it does , but in a rather distracting and annoying way ."

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14478245, 10 months agoPretty good, does what it's supposed to, but completely breaks when the search includes any colon. Makes searching for error messages a pain.
Seems the 'Respect "prefix : "' feature puts any word-followed-by-a-colon at the start of the search whether it's an actual search operator or not. Would be useful to be able to turn this particular feature off. - Rated 5 out of 5by Elias, 4 years ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by RiverRat, 5 years agoUseless! All results were completely irrelevant! NONE of my search words were used. Just a bunch of random crap. Don't waste your time!

posted 5 years agoPlease do some basic research for the functionality of double quotes on "Google search term" and go through description to learn what this tool actually does. - Rated 5 out of 5by David Spector, 5 years agoThis addon restores Google to the way it used to work when its results were much more relevant. It saves all the work needed to quote each search term, it's easy to turn off and on, and it respects smart searches. This addon is useful and should be approved by Mozilla so the warning is removed.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Toby, 5 years agoWorks beautifully. Cannot imagine using Google without it. Thank you kindly.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15228097, 5 years agoWorks as intended. But I am suspicious this extension requires too many permissions.

posted 5 years ago[1] All of that 198 permissions are per unique Google domain. Google currently has 198 localized & regional domains, see here: https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmXoypizjW3WknFiJnKLwHCnL72vedxjQkDDP1mXWo6uco/wiki/List_of_Google_domains.html , far better than granted permissions for "access all websites" which many extension do.
[2] This extension updated since January of 2019, if abuse happen in this extension, it probably get reported and get removed long time ago. And Firefox store probably blacklist the author and affect my other extensions too. So, no, nothing wrong.
[3] If you know Javascript coding, you can type about:profiles in url bar to know "Root Directory", then navigate your "Extensions" folder inside that root directory in file explorer. You can uninstall and reinstall the addons in this extension page and sort by date in file explorer to find out which .xpi file(latest file after reinstall) is related to this extension. Copy that .xpi extension file as backup, then rename .xpi to .zip, unzip it. You can see javascript plain text inside and its manifest.json file which listed all the google domains permission.
