Looking forward for the next update! Best regards.
Overall the experience with Group Speed Dial is perfect, but there is one small problem I encountered with dynamic layout option.
By selecting "Hide last "+" dial in dynamic layout", there is still an invisible dial space reserved for the "+", which causes to create an extra invisible column at some cases. I am wondering if that is an intentional design, because sometimes when I accidently touch the mouse wheel and the entire layout shifts up to show me a column of nothing.
The other non-dynamic options does not have the issue, but will either squeeze or stretch the dials on a vertical monitor, that is why I have been using the dynamic layout option. It would be nice if by hiding the "+" will also remove that reserved dial space for better view. Thank you!Developer response
posted 13 hours agoUPDATE:
I've experimented with it now, and it looks like it works fine.
And I've just realized, you can test the fix yourself - simply open Options page / General / "Custom CSS styles:" and paste there this style:
html:not(.drag_and_drop, .add_current_mode, .edit_dial, .edit_group) {
.hide_dial_plus.dynamic > .dials > .is_plus:last-of-type {display: none}
}
/* ------------------------------------------ */
Hello,
I can confirm that the hidden "+" dial is indeed taking space.
I'm not sure why though.
But I understand how this is unexpected from the user point.
I'll do my best to fix this in the upcoming 27.2 version (it should be out in a few weeks).

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12389259, 6 days agoHello friend, there is a problem! For users, Windows7 Mozilla left one working version of Firefox 115.21.0esr (64-bit) when updating and synchronizing your glorious expansion, unfortunately, has stopped working with the formulation 'to use this extension must be updated by Firefox', i.e. Update to the latest version. But the problem is that the latest versions do not work with Win7, only with Win10. Is there any solution so that your glorious expansion earned on Firefox, versions for Win7?

Thank you for your reply, it quickly resolved the problem!Developer response
posted 6 days agoHello,
Yes, the latest version 27.0 requires at least Firefox ESR 128.
However, for your Firefox ESR 115 you can still install the previous version 26.0 from here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/groupspeeddial/versions/
(see the "Download file" below the the changelogs for Version 26.0)
But at the same time I would strongly recommend upgrading your Windows 7 to something newer - since the old Firefox 115 is missing some new web features so sooner or later, even normal webpages will stop working for you. Note that Windows 10 is also getting unsupported by Microsoft later this year, so you better upgrade directly to 11 :), or switch to Linux Mint, that way your device would be still as fast as on Windows 7.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Lonewolf, 24 days agoThis is a great addon, but it seems to have a bug: if a dial is opened in a container, its thumbnail ignores the container when updating (manually or automatically). This usually results in an access error.

posted 24 days agoHello,
Thanks for reporting this!
I can see it's broken for all thumbnails generator methods.
I'll try to fix this in the upcoming release 27.2, hopefully by the end of next week.

posted 2 months agoHello,
There is one helper - in the main menu you can find "Refresh images", which can be used to refresh all images.
Similarly, right click the group name and there is a also "Refresh images", but with option "All in this group" checked.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Paul, 4 months agoHello, please help me. I like the extension, and thank you, but how do I make sure that the message "Your home page has been changed" never appears in the main Dials window? The fact is that I never change anything in the extension settings. However, this message keeps intrusively appearing and reappearing, and it gets in the way very much! Thanks!

posted 4 months agoHello,
This is a browser "security feature". But Firefox should only display it once.
Note that disabling and re-enabling addon will reset all warnings. Maybe you have some special software that can disable/enable installed addons?
If nothing helps, Firefox Reset likely will - but this will also delete dials data, so you'll need to make a backup first. More info here:
