- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12663845, 5 years agoGreat addon. I've been looking for a good speed dial addon quite a while and been testing many. This one is my fav so far.
Pros:
+ Most important: privacy is respected. The addon doesn't track usage nor does it send info about website usage to third-party services what is a must for such a tool.
+ The author tries to use as little rights as needed to make the addon work and he clearly explains the rights in the addon's description.
+ Thumbnails are loaded locally, it's even possible to use local graphic/logo files, i.e. no online connection needed.
Cons:
- Cutomising the look and feel, in particular size, of the dials is not yet possible
- Creating thumbnails from public library often doesn't show results. Maybe another service could be used here (like e.g. https://logo.clearbit.com)Developer response
posted 5 years agoHello,
Thank you for the feedback!
The service for thumbnails you mentioned is amazing! I will totally integrate that in near future! If you know more good services like this, please let me know!
Thanks again and have a nice weekend :)

Developer response
posted 5 years agoHello,
I haven't released new version so this must be Firefox related.
Things you could try:
1) restart whole PC
2) reinstall my extension. But first make backup - export your dials and thumbnails from Options page / Import backup tab. Then uninstall, restart Firefox, install back.
3) If that won't help, you can use Firefox reset to fix your Firefox profile:
https://support.mozilla.org/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings
Resetting profile will preserve your passwords, bookmarks and other important things (but not add-ons data, so make sure to have backup).
Before resetting your profile I would suggest you to setup Firefox Sync. - this will backup the list of installed add-ons and after reset it will reinstall them.

posted 5 years agoHello,
The Cloud synchronization is by default off. It will turn ON only if you create cloud account and login to your account:
https://group-speed-dial.fastaddons.com/
So if you have account, just logout.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15091698, 5 years agoSo far so good. There are lots of options and at this moment have no time check all of them. Good job.
Update - Oh yes Juraj you had a very good idea developing this plugin. At first I thought, well, I'll give a try thinking I already have lots of bookmarks and this might be redundant. No it is not redundant at all. In fact it is much more powerful and easy to maintain and use than the native Bookmarks.
Thanks again.
New Update:
I dropped one star cause things are complicating. Maybe there are too many options or the whole thing is getting crowded and confused. Caveat emptor Juraj. A cute baby may be turn a monster. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13251744, 5 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12427304, 5 years agoIt's all OK. Very good.
But with the last Firefox version (70.0.1) I lost all favorite site groups and in the GSD Option I didn't find the possibility to load the old saved setting.
So I downgraded to Firefox version 70.0.0 and all is now OK.

posted 5 years agoHello,
If you are not using Cloud server in my addon, then make sure to export your dials to a file as a backup (just in case).
Have a nice weekend.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Loa, 5 years agoEverything was perfect until I updated FF several days ago, and then Speed Dial started to crash FF and itself also. Now it dont even show my bookmarks and groups, and shows an error.

posted 5 years agoHello,
Please contact me to my support email if the problem persist.
But in general this is a Firefox specific error that often disappears after restarting Firefox or whole PC.
If you can see it even after the restart, then I would suggest you to reinstall my add-on. But make sure to export your dials to a file first - from the Options page / Import backup tab (you can export also your thumbnails).

Juraj Mäsiar - Rated 2 out of 5by Oshoreiki, 5 years agoI used to love this add-on until the moment I updated my Firefox to 70. Now it is a crap working full of problems. Are you trying to fix the issues?
Developer response
posted 5 years agoHello Oshoreiki,
Please contact me to my support email with additional info (what exactly is not working as expected).
I haven't made any changes for last 4 months, so things should work as before (I'm testing it with every new Beta / Nightly release).
Also there will be a new version 14.0 released any day now so if you found some bugs, please let me know and I can include the fix in the new version.
Best regards,
Juraj Mäsiar
