- Rated 5 out of 5by Hagenss, 8 years agoExcellent replacement SpeeldDial for FF 58+, with a lot of color settings, the distance tabs. It works very fast. Very convenient and modern. It is possible for two or three people on the same browser not to change profiles of settings, but simply install this extension with visual tabs.
- Rated 5 out of 5by mint user, 8 years agoThank you for a such nice add on, it's a decent substitute for a Josep del Rio speed dial I have been looking for long time.
One suggestion; would be great if "refresh by visiting page" would work with single button on a whole group of dials, now I need to click one by one dial, and I have hundreds of them. Without "refresh by visiting" image quality is poor and look ugly and grisly.
One problem, it works great in chromium (mint 18.2.) but when I want to import speed dial to firefox it says Error: { }
Group speed dial version is 5.5. Solution to this is a bit awkward, first import "Josep del Rio speed dial settings" into chromium, then export "group speed dial settings" from chromium to firefox.Developer response
posted 8 years agoHello,
Thank you for the nice words :)
Regarding refreshing thumbnails, currently resolution of thumbnail is determined by the target dial dimensions when you create it - so if your browser window is not maximized when you reload thumbnail, you don't get optimal resolution. This should get fixed by upcoming big upgrade with auto-reload feature.
However after that I suppose I can still add "Reload by visit for group" feature, so stay tuned :)
Regarding the issue with import, I just fixed one bug there so please try again with current version 5.6.
If it won't help, please send me your backup file to my support e-mail and I will try to fix it.
Hope this helps :)
Have a nice day!

Juraj Mäsiar - Rated 5 out of 5by super6plx, 8 years agoEdit: few years late but just noting here that he added an extension to do ctrl + number shortcuts to open dials in new tabs and current tabs etc. so this is now a perfect addon. 5 stars no requests no complaints just does it all. there is a bug at the moment which is why I'm here again but on his github he has noted that he's fixed it already and is just waiting for firefox to push the update.
original review below:
Looks great, but just missing one thing that I desperately need, keyboard shortcuts! If I press Ctrl + 1 I want to go to my first tab in the speed dial. As if I'd want to keep that default "go to first tab" behaviour.. like what do they expect me to count all my tabs, then type Ctrl + 23 to go to tab #23? who thought of that feature? Let me replace it with shortcuts for your speed dial!
You have my support mate, keep it up! (REALLY appreciate that this supports multi process) - Rated 5 out of 5by Francoise, 8 years agoFonctionne très bien avec Firefox Quantum (57 beta) sur Ubuntu 17.10.
Très beau travail!
Works great with Firefox Quantum (57 beta) on Ubuntu 17.10.
Great work! I will have to get a paypal account to contribute! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13332997, 8 years agoThanks for a very important replacement for Speed Dial by Josep del Rio. But we can't use it yet because we get "Error: {}"
when we try to import from Speed Dial by Josep del Rio, using any of the many .speeddial files that were retained. Can you help? Thanks.Developer response

Juraj Mäsiar - Rated 5 out of 5by Pincho, 8 years agoThis add-on is a really good replacement for Fast Dial, which will die when FF 57 arrives.
Still some small things here and there that need to be changed/fixed, but the dev replied to me instantly and got rid of all my worries. This will keep getting even better with time.
Great add-on and developer. Danke!
- Rated 5 out of 5by SuperPutte, 8 years agoHands down, this addon is already great. Will look forward to the future options as promised. Suggestion: how about ability to insert own thumbnails with logo's from local drive?
I used to use my own css-userstyle before, but as this will be prohibit from FF57+ on pages like about:newtab, I looked for alternatives. This addon are doing more or less the same as my own.
Nice work !!Developer response
posted 8 years agoHello,
There already a basic support for custom images. In the "Edit dial" window there is a "Choose custom thumbnail..." button.
However you have to keep in mind not to reload such dial (else it will be lost). Also transparency can be an issue if you later change background (pictures are not stored transparent). These issues will be fixed in upcoming weeks.
If you don't like the style, please let me know what would you like to see instead. I will be adding more visual themes in the future. Actually maybe I can add an option to use custom .css file so that skilled people could use their own styles (I will put this on my todo list).
Anyway feel free to write me to mu support e-mail if you have more questions or ideas :)
Have a nice day :)

Juraj Mäsiar - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 10538580, 8 years agoafter having the speed dials can you make it to move the speed dials?
Developer response
posted 8 years agoHello :)
Sure you can, watch my introduction video to see main features, including drag and drop:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvT4w-R8hJU
Just make sure you don't have "Super-speed" feature active, in that case you need to hold "Shift" or "Ctrl" key to drag and drop dials.
Have a nice day :)

Juraj Mäsiar - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13303190, 8 years agoI verified that all mentioned fix/feature works as described. Keep the good work!
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12890004, 8 years agoFirstly it will last beyond the Appspocalypse (upgrade to FF 57). Second it is light, simple, fast and stable. Third it is the ONLY contender to replace speed dial 2 Chrome extension. This facilitates migration from lumbering bloated chrome browser.
Thank you! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 1057640, 8 years agoSyncing in Group Speed Dial actually better/easier than FVD Speeddial, however FVD has a slightly more polished look and feel.
**I've since ditched FVD Speed dial for this again. The syncing is just that much better. Also I think the icon/thumbnail settings have improved since I last used this add-on. And after a while, and quite a bit of tweaking, the dials look pretty good. I don't miss FVD at all.
Another thing to consider is the Cloud Dials for use on your phone. This loads so much faster than having FVD installed natively on Firefox for Android. - Rated 5 out of 5by DevilishVicious, 8 years agoGood replacement for Speed Dial by Josep del Rio. Working great so far. Waiting for the "auto-reload thumbnails" function, if possible. Also, it would be nice to have the option to open dials in new tab (foreground and background) by left click. Thanks and keep up the good work.

posted 8 years agoHello,
Thank you for the review.
Auto-reload should come in upcoming version in few weeks.
Regarding the opening dials in new tabs - how would you like to make this work? Could you please write me to my support e-mail what exactly do you want to achieve?
I can introduce new setting in Options page or I can extend context menu (currently there is "Open in new tab" (background)) or I can add some icons to dials that can have this kind of behavior...
However even now Firefox supports:
- "Ctrl + left click" to open in new tab (background)
- "middle mouse click" to open new tab (background)
- "Ctrl + Shift + left click" to open in new tab (foreground)
Have a nice day :)

Juraj Mäsiar - Rated 5 out of 5by Lightbender67, 8 years agoThanks for all your work Juraj. I just started exploring and it looks great. I have been using SuperStart for years with the ability to use folders. I have been searching for a way to share folders or groups so that friends or co-workers can have access to the same group. Please consider this for a future pro feature. It would be worth paying to be able to share site links with teams.

posted 8 years agoHello,
Thank you for the review.
Sharing groups will be possible, this feature is already planned (with high priority) for the near future. However there are some other features that needs to be finished before this so it could take month or two to implement.
Also I want to make it perfect so that you can truly collaborate with your colleagues in in one group and all its sub-groups.
So stay tuned :) and wish me luck.
Have a nice day!

Juraj Mäsiar- Rated 5 out of 5by suijurisdeigratia, 8 years agoI've been an FVD user for years but it was time to switch my dial add-on that is compatible with the new multiprocess functionality in Firefox. Firefox 57 compatibility is also a big plus at this stage in development. This dial add-on has it all. It's smooth, fast, and offers the ability to layer dials which is really nice. The cloud sync is also great and works well. I'm using it in both Firefox and Chrome across multiple windows operating systems (7 and 10). My only suggestion is to add the ability for the Main Group bar at the top to wrap as when I had a huge list of groups it wasn't able to wrap to a new line. Keep up the great work!
