by The Fnord, 4 months agoSigned up to mozilla.org just to rate this addon; of the 3 I've tried, this one actually works, for librewolf desktop. At least thusfar 2025-02-26. I'm sure google will continue randomizing css selectors to break workarounds such as this. I hope the maintainer of this addon remains vigilant.
Edit: This addon does not rely on css ids or class selectors, thus it's more resilient against google randomizing them. Very Nice.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18259252, 13 days agoDoesn't work. Google figured out how to get around it. DO NOT BOTHER. This add-=on is now completely useless.
- Rated 5 out of 5by aa357, 14 days agoBest one I have found so far. The two others I tried either uses the web section in search or the AI Overview shows up for like a second before going away. This had none of those issues so I give it 5 stars. Thank you
- Rated 1 out of 5by MN, 15 days agoNo longer works. All my permissions are turned on but I still see those stupid "results" with every search. Google sucks.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17275815, 15 days agoNo longer works. An easy alternative if you're using ublock origin is to just add this to your filters:

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 19062191, 17 days agoUsed to work perfectly, sadly has stopped working recently
- Rated 4 out of 5by Alg, 18 days agoStrange... Works for some names (Jim, Tommy, Johnny...) but not with some others (John, Frederic...)
- Rated 5 out of 5by Italian user, 18 days agoIt does work, but you need to switch on permissions in the settings of this add-on in Firefox after you installed it, otherwise it wound't work. You turn on permissions for the local Google websites you use (eg: ://google.com - ://google.at for Austria, ://google.com.au for Australia, etc.) and you're all set.

- Rated 5 out of 5by juni, 22 days agohey thanks for writing the code i was way too lazy too, i thought you should know that it broke, they've begun adding ai to results further down the page after an actually useful one (sometimes), example: google search for "does skunk smell contain thioles"
