There is no way that this is legal in any western nation.
The fact that this simple browser extension was sold for over 4 billion usd should be enough of a red flag that something is very shady about this by itself.
Its replacing affiliate links from influencers they sponsor without their (or the users) consent.
And actively working with shops to withhold coupon codes instead of 'giving you the best deals' as it claims too.
Frequently inserts affiliate links in without user consent by using browser notification 'get away' buttons and paypal checkout links as affiliate links.
And to top it all of frequently seems to be scamming the shops as well. - Rated 1 out of 5by the snooterrr, 9 months ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Greenwood, 9 months agoThis browser extension is a scam. Honey steals money from affiliate links stealing millions every year from influencers/creators. In addition, they partner with shops to approve these discount codes, so it prompts discount finders to not get the best deals. Do not download this scam if you actually are looking to save money.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18513566, 9 months agoScam plug in owned by Paypal. It overwrites referral URLs and cookies from social affiliate links, effectively swooping in at the last second to steal the affiliate program commission on the sale from the social media person that originally helped you find the website / product. Also, the rewards program is a scam by swooping in to get the commission, and sharing a minute fraction of the affiliate commission with you.
