На всех испробованных сайтах вставляется просто название домена и, через дефис, оригинальное имя вкладки. Ни одной ошибки не выявлено.
Остальные испробованные - или полностью копируют из адресной строки все 100500 символов или работают через раз.

posted 2 years agoIt is currently working for me on FF 110.0.1 on Windows 10. If you open an issue here https://github.com/Aaron-P/HostnameTitleBar/issues we can work on troubleshooting your issue. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefcx user 11712425, 6 years agoSadly this add-on does not work in 67.0.4.

The author is correct, the addon works perfectly. Do not assume it is not working because the tab's title does not change (check the actual window title, you will likely have to enable the window frame via Firefox's customize menu). 5 stars.Developer response
posted 6 years agoI am currently using it on 67.0.4. If you're having a problem, make an issue on the issue tracker at: https://github.com/Aaron-P/HostnameTitleBar/issues - Rated 5 out of 5by Francewhoa, 6 years agoStrength:
• Open source. If you are not familiar with "open source", it means this app is more secure. Because its code is publicly available for review and contributions on GitHub at https://github.com/Aaron-P/HostnameTitleBar
• Attractive GNU General Public License version 2. This means the software code of this extensions is owned and supported by a friendly not-for-profit community. Instead of a for-profit corporation. https://github.com/Aaron-P/HostnameTitleBar/blob/master/LICENSE.md
• Lots of options to customize the title
• You can inject a title into pages that do not have one. This is very useful. It means that your password managers is more likely to work on all pages.
• Made for password managers KeePass, KeePassX, or KeePassXC
• It does not interfere with the title of a page or interact with a page's DOM. So it should not break any websites
• The configuration page includes useful template examples and a preview. Which are display on mouse hover to highlight.
Challenge:
• Does not work with HTTP Basic Auth window. But this might be outside the control of the extension. Because the present WebExtension API does not allow to change the title of the Basic Auth window. Ticket at https://github.com/Aaron-P/HostnameTitleBar/issues/2
Using:
• Hostname in Window Title 2.0
• Firefox 60.5.0esr at 64 bit
• Debian 8 Jessie
• GNOME 3.14.1 - Rated 5 out of 5by Flengo, 7 years agoOnly add-on of its kind that doesn't actually inject the domain in the title (shown when bookmarking a page).
