Content-Disposition: What are the differences between "inline" and "attachment"? – Stack Overflow

With Waterfox Classic, I switched from legacy 'InlineDisposition 2' to this extension (from the same developer) following an issue at an Adobe site. The issue is not reproducible with this extension. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14827344, 6 years ago

Test: http://demo.borland.com/testsite/download_testpage.php - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13221093, 7 years agoDoesn't work, doesn't replace inline disposition. Still have to click open in dialog box every time ):
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12791784, 7 years agoIt's not working. If I look at the response in the Network tab, it still says "attachment; filename=..."
- Rated 4 out of 5by bwProductions, 8 years agoGreat add-on, but can we get a filetype whitelist as well? I only want this enabled for images and PDFs, but it also affects video downloads. This is particularly problematic on file hosts with download limits -- the file loads in the browser, and when you try to save it, you get nothing because you've reached your download limit and have to wait several hours to try again.
EDIT: Thanks for the response, but this doesn't solve my issue. Still very interested in a filetype whitelist.Developer response
posted 8 years agoFor pdfs you can use this add-on:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/always-preview-webextension/ - Rated 4 out of 5by JL, 8 years agoNeed a support link so I don't have to report temporary issues here...
When this addon is off I have no issues, turn it back on and I experience the following:
Whether attempting to sign in to change password via gmail or google search page, or attempt to open gmail contacts I get a dialog... such as:
"Opening ServiceLogin"
ServiceLogin
which is: application/binary
from: https://accounts.google.com
What should Firefox do with this file?
(radio button) open with (choose button)
Save File
Do this automatically for files like this from now on.
Again, when I turn this addon off I have no problems signing in / don't get the dialog box. Enable this addon, the problem immediately returns.Developer response
posted 8 years agoCan you give me the link where this happens?
I tested it myself in gmail and it was working fine for me. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12712288, 8 years agoWorking as intended!! Huge thanks!
Edit: Since this a webextension any chance you can easily port this to the Chrome Store? I'm trying to switch to Vivaldi Browser and I miss this addon very much! There is an addon in the Chrome store which seems to want to do the same thing but it does not work.Developer response
