posted 7 years agoThanks for your review. In the new version (1.4.2, released moments ago), I made it possible to use the same 'tag' multiple times. It never occurred to me to think of that, so thanks for bringing it up.
Support for copying images is on my road map, but I'm still not sure how to do that in a way that makes sense.
Update: I've added a %I variable, that will return the image url. I really have to think about adding some conditional logic to the templates to make it really useful, but it's a start.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Fleet Command, 2 months agoIt's not working at the moment (3 March 2025, Firefox 135.0.1). The extension's GitHub repository was last updated 7 years ago, on 26 Dec 2018. Hence, it's safe to assume this extension will never work again.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13790003, 5 years agoI had been using an "outdated" version of Firefox simply because, as I think is the case for many others, some important-to-me add-ons were no longer supported in Quantum. CoLT was one of those add-ons. This add-on, however, has equaled CoLT for my purposes, and so now I've made a relatively comfortable move to the latest FF.
Thanks to both this author AND the author of CoLT, wherever you are. CoLT was, to me, one of the most useful add-ons; ya done good. :) - Rated 5 out of 5by DiverSant, 5 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Unvir, 5 years agoCould you add the positibility of replacing link text with link url/href? This would help copy with complete URL information.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Gess, 6 years agoI want to copy the selected text along with the links:
the selected text itself;
the name of the link;
URL link.
For example, here is a piece of text from a wikipedia article:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross-platform_software#Hardware_platforms
This is a simple copy of the text.

A hardware platform can refer to an instruction set architecture. For example: x86 architecture and its variants such as IA-32 and x86-64. These machines often run one version of Microsoft Windows,[5] though they can run other operating systems as well, including Linux, OpenBSD, NetBSD, macOS and FreeBSD.

And so I need:

How to do this in link-text-location-copier?
Thanks! - Rated 1 out of 5by sojusnik, 6 years agoThe development of this add-on has stopped, because the creator of this add-on has passed away, as it is stated in the creator's user profile.
For a good replacement, search for the "Format Link" add-on (by Hiroaki Nakamura). - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12891445, 6 years agoExcellent replacement for CoLT, nice improvement over Format Link. Question: Would it be possible to change the format of the timestamp (%L) with this add-on?

- Rated 5 out of 5by xeem, 6 years agothank you for this! i've been looking for a CoLT replacement that could copy a selection/title and link and paste it to visual TinyMCE (WordPress editor) with the proper mime type so it ends up as an HTML link - perfect!
